I've poked around a bit on this forum, but I'm not seeing anything about the xp needed for the Slicing tree - it's all about Pistol xp now!!!
Did I miss something while I was gone? I've been squirreling locked containers away since I dropped Smuggler for a bad case of Holo-madness, back in the day.
Please tell me this is a post-CU thing, and it'll be remedied shortly.

The devs tell us that the pistol xp stays. We're all mourning the loss of the slicing xp requirement for master. Sorry to bring you unfortunate news.

Pistol XP could change with the advent of the Smuggler Revamp...however, it's in the dark.

Ok, NOW it all makes sense to me....
That moment at the end of Han Solo's intercom chat in the Death Star detention area?
He wasn't flustered and decided to cut it short. NOOOOOOOOooooo, he was simply getting some quick slicing xp, in the most sensible and efficient way (of course!)
Learning the intricate and delicate art of bypassing microscopic-level electronic security measures, by blowing shlt up! Why didn't I think of this before? Pure genius!!

Don't give the devs the idea of Changing the Slicing tree to require Lightsaber XP.
