Well, okay. Long-time MMO player and RPer, but new to SWG 
Since I've nothing better to do for the next nine hours of patches (Yes. Nine hours. 56k dialup is a lovely thing, isn't it? Heee) I thought I'd drop by and say hey... and offer some pie now that I can finally do so.

It started with an odd conversation with a friend about the infamous "Guy in the Blue Shirt" SWG commercial. We were chuckling about how we never hear any good comments about SWG, but we only ever hear from players who've quit over something-or-other... So I decided to look into it. I learned a few things, too.
1) I do NOT, EVER wish to play a J... Nerfherder.
2)The smuggler community as a whole reminds me so much of me that I couldn't *not* pick up a copy of TTE and see for myself if SWG Smuggling, for all the problems the profession is facing (and has been since, what, launch?) is that perfect setup I've been looking for all this time.
The last time I played a roguish character, it was a female rogue named Sarah, who rose to the status of Master in a little-known (and I'd like to keep it that way - the game was horribly run into the ground by its dev team) 16-bit graphics MUD, back in...around '00-'01ish, I think. Eh, anyway...
So, yeah. Once all the patching is done, and I get a feel for the game, I'll be popping up on Starsider; though I've been planning to start there since I decided to pick up a copy of the game, the "Smuggler City" being founded doesn't hurt either 
ANY-way, I just wanted to say thanks. You guys are probably the single best collection of players I've seen inawhile as far asMMOs go. Usually it's a case of "Whats teh most uburest build?????" or "OMG NERF (class)!!!1!!"... But... I won't get into that particular discussion. *ahem* Oh, and before I forget:

good choice on Starsider.
next time make your font slightly larget though please... all the pixie gives us Smugglers bad eyesight.

Uh... how the heck did that get that tiny? Sorry about that. I swear, it looked relatively large in the WYS - which is why I loathe using WYS editors. They're tools of Satan. *nods sagely*
Hopefully now it's behaving itself.
