Thread: Request to be able to undo the slice

Why and i mean WHY cant we undo slices if we can install some component why cant we uninstall???

It would be nice, but I don't think that's something that we'd get. I think that SOE wants us to think a little more carefully before committing to a slice, and on top of that, they probably don't mind that if we screw up the slice we'd have to get a new weapon made up.

Probably because they don't keep the old unsliced values of weapons and armor in the database.


So, it's not going to happen.

But when the weapon is sliced, it adds the slice modifications to the description of the weapon. It seems like it'd be easy to undo a slice now since they are set percentages. Holy smoke, with a calculator and a few minutes, even I can figure out the base numbers if I know the percentage it was modified.

And yet another example of stuff the Devs probably don't keep stored in the database.


If I give you a gun that was sliced a year ago, and no other information, are you going to be able to tell me the original stats? Neither can the Devs, more than likely.
