Thread: Any Master Smugglers here that are also BH?

If so can you give me an idea of what BH skills worked well for you?
I still am adamant about not giving up Smuggler (I guess I have a touch of 'religion' as I'm still waiting for the revamp) but I want some 'Jedi' content in my SWG life.
So...since grinding the damn FS skills is so insane I figure I'll get my 'content' fix by hunting the little buggers instead of joining them.

You've only got enough SP for 3 of the 4 BH tracks as an MSmuggler, so I'm guessing any Smuggler/BHs are going to be pistol specialists (some variant of the DF4/BH Pistol4/NCommando/MPistoleer template.) But I guess you could fudge it for Invest3/BH Pistols4 and, say, NCommando (I love my LP, even if it is a relatively weak weapon hehe

Is NCommando only for the LP cert? Or are there any other advantages for it?
If I stayed pistol specialist is it worthwhile to keep NPistoleer ya think?
I guess I'm wondering if I'd be effective as a pistol specialist MSmuggler/BH in hunting down those pesky Jedi...any thoughts?

Yes, Commando is only for the LP cert. The thing is, you lose a lot of combat effectiveness by keeping MSmuggler. Without MSmuggler you can take 0-0-4-0 Smuggler/3-0-4-0 Bounty Hunter/Master Pistoleer and have every pistol cert excepting the LP, every special except Fast Blast, the highest possible speed (unimportant now, but who knows what the CB will bring), 10 points shy of the highest possible accuracy, and the ability to hunt Jedi. With MSmuggler you have to give a lot of that up.
Personally, I'm an MCommando/MSmuggler/0-0-0-3 Pistoleer, and while I hardly use pistols I do have a good time with the template…but I wouldn't try to PvP with it.
Edit: At a quick glance, keeping MSmuggler the best you can do is Master Smuggler/3-0-4-0 Bounty Hunter/0-0-4-0 Pistoleer, but like I said, that's at a glance—there may be better options out there.

Ahh...don't you need any Investigation if you want to actually hunt Jedi?

My alt was a BH. I gave it up this week to pursue my Jedi on him.

How affective is investigation 1 by its self?
I wouldnt mind being able to hunt npc marks... I think it could be fun, but if investigation 1 is basically no help... i wont even try it.
I am either going to pick up LLC 1, or investigation 1....
