Thread: We suggest dozens of ideas on every topic, and yet we were just shown it was a waste of time

Seriously Devs, how many suggestions have there been in this forum for how to fix FD for the good of everybody? A dozen? Two dozen? Fifty? Cripes, there's probably one every week being posted. Most of them are decent and plausible solutions that appease both Smugglers and those annoyed by Jedi FD'ing.

How hard would it have been to give BH's a skill to check a feigning player to see if they're still alive? Give it skill mods so that the chances increase as they near MBH. Jedi would be deterred, Smugglers wouldn't feel like one of our skills just became totally useless (which, by the way, you just made it totally useless and thanks for that), and BH's and other Jedi hunters wouldn't be able to complain (as much). It's not like this would require programming a new special attack; it's just rolling the dice (so to speak) and adjusting the results based on your skill level. Would the programming behind that really be so much different from, or more difficult than, a Crackdown Scan? Somehow, I think not.

And that's just one of the great ideas I've seen on the subject. There's been handfuls of others, and they've all just been ignored. Did you even read them? Did you care?

Are you sure you cared? Because if you did, you would've chosen a solution that made the most people happy instead of just pushing that knife (already close to hilt-deep) farther into my back.

Wes, is there anything we can do about this? Can't they see that this makes the skill useless? Can't they see there are so many better and more practical solutions than just destroying the skill? Tell us what we need to do to make them understand; you know us Smugglers, we'll do whatever it takes.

I feel so betrayed... again.

[EDIT]By the way, nerfing one of our skills back to the Stone Age, and giving us a Friday Feature with every set of patch notes in the history of the game, on the same day... bad idea Devs. You've just given us both a reason and the means to dig up more history on how we've gotten shafted since this game came out. Bad idea.

Kinda makes you fear the CURB and the revamp doesn't it.

"Jedi claims of being "broken" are like saying "But my TV isn't widescreen! It's broken! My TV can't show high-def pictures in 1080i, it can only do 720i! It's broken!" Meanwhile, crafters are saying "We'd really like to have a TV that's larger than 12" and gets more than 4 channels and doesn't constantly lose vertical control", and entertainers are saying "Can we get some color instead of this B&W piece of junk?" And smugglers? We're listening to radio programs of "The Shadow" and "The Abbot and Costello Comedy Hour" and hearing FDR's Fireside Chats. We don't even HAVE a damn TV, much less a broken one or a "broken" one by Jedi standards. I'd LOVE to be as "broken" as they are." - The Legendary Solo4114

I figure it's a little too late to give up now. It is disturbing to see that the Smugglers are very often given the short end of the stick when it comes to ideas and how issues are resolved, but there's even a certain appeal to being the underdog, at least for me.

I'm not sure it's too late, there have been patches that have been removed (remember the crafting "revamp"?
We have to express the negativity of this stupidity, and we have to express it loudly, we have to report it in the issues threads, everywhere... well i guess
What i'm sure is that we shouldn't give up so easily, we're still standing and we still have a blaster.

Believe me, first Smuggler who decides to lie down and take the abuse quietly is going to get a shot in junk from yours truly.

Nono... I'm saying it's too late to give up. I'm not going to be quiet about this, nor am I going to throw in my Smuggler towel because of this change.

We didn't become Smugglers to be uber, and we knew we were signing up for a profession that has problems. We need to see it through.
