I do it ALL the time- usually takes a few hits to the head first but eventually I CS and BOOK.

Nothing like having 3 NSs run up on you and you mass CS them and run. It don't get any more Smuggler-like than that.

That shot with faign death and doc heals make me the only one to servive when the hunting group im gets riped apart by voritors.

I use to do this with the 40 second root as well. Hit them with it, run out of range, give them a few minutes to give them confidence then rush back in when I was full of food buffs. I did have a 30 minute game of tag with 3 jedi in theed one day. Would root them one after the other then hop on to my bike when their roots were just about to break. Go around the city and hit htem again from the other side. Then from the middle and all sort of different directions till they left

That must've been a blast!

Today, I used area concussion, panic, lowblow, overwhelming, and restraining shots in large-scale PvP while I tossed heals to my teamates. It was absolutely and completely awesome.

Patch 19 is really making this game playable for non-Jedi now. Props to the devs!!!

I got to use this shot against BH's for the first time yesterday. Man oh man. It's simply the best special ever. I'd hit them with it and tell them it was futile to continue and to just leave me alone. After a minute to think about it, unable to do anything else, two of the three decided to just leave. Just standing there. Helpless. As their mark totally ignores them and continues to grind away.

It was my salvation when doing the Ryyatt Trail missions. You're on your way someplace and a bunch of other mobs aggro you (in spite of the Dev's claims that grey mobs will never do so)... root them and keep moving, no problem.

use it all the time. goes well with MCM too. As the paralyze is generally not as useful. Given that it's a melee range attack. So instead i use concussion shot before things even get close. The combo isnt as powerful as it was pre pub19. But it still very nice. And the boost to healing power seems to make up for the loss in damage output.

I open with imp concussion shot off a rocket launcher. That equals a mez and KD. Then I drop down and fire up advanced aim to sniper shot. It hits for around 3.8k like this. Then I go advanced reckless shot, imp head shot to imp restraining shot to snare kite til I can mez KD again, if they last that long.

Imp concussion shot is good any time you need a breather, want to heal? how about let the action regen? need to put more distance between you and the baddie? etc etc. It is also useful off a launcher pistol or beam weapon, you can mass mez and let your party pick off one at a time.
