I'm currentlythe following profession:
Master Smuggler
Master Pistoleer
Desperado (BH 0040)
With that said, Publish 19 has me seriously thinking about switching my Scout/BH (0040)skills to Medic/CM (4000) for the healing line. I would lose Underhand, Confusion, Mask Scent, and Terrain Negotiation in exchange for the healing abilities. Does anyone familiar with this template have any input to assist me? Any ideas helping me weigh the pros and cons of each would be greatly appreciated. I currently am not interested in dropping Smuggler or Pistoleer, so please keep all suggestions tomy third line of skills (BH/CM/etc).Whatever you feelwould help themain Smuggler/Pistoleer template. Thank you.

Im a Master Smuggler, Master Pistols, CM 4000... IMO this was the best thing for me to do, I can heal myself for 1300 points.I can now solo more than 2 equal lvl NPC's

Excellent. So do you have much creature agro problems w/o having Mask Scent and Terrain Negotiation? Or do the healing abilities completely outweigh that to the point its not even close. Also, if you have any combat advice you'd like to share...I'd love to soak up any knowledge you can pass along (opening combos, solo and group tactics, etc). Thanks again!

I've trained myself in Master Smuggler, Master Combat Medic, and Pistoleer: 0/0/0/4.
With these skills no melee template can beat me; theycan't even get to me,and I give Jedi a definate run for their money.
I also generally mess up most ranged templates, but I actually havn't fought too many since the concussion, panic, and overwhelming shot fixes. I'm pretty sure I'd do just fine.
Quick example: Concussion shot for 30 (or is it 40?) second daze. I run up and place all my Combat Medic debuffs. Naturally I'm spiced up on Booster Blue for quick regeneration. Now my foe is snared, attacks slower, regenerates mind and action like molasses, and has a lower ability to resist state effects.
Now I back up, grin my dashing smuggler grin (refined with the classic stubble), and blast 'em with either stopping shot or restraining shot. Either way it'll take ages for them to get to me, or keep them in my range if they're a gunslinger. Next comes my poison and fire, and I let 'em have it.

Thanks again guys. I made the switch from Scout/BH-0040 to Medic/CM-4000 to complementmy MSmug/MPistol professions. I hadto use my token, but I'm liking the change so far. Its definitely easier to control groups of mobs when soloing. Since the change, I went from soloin 2 lvl 80s at a time to now having no trouble soloing 3 lvl 80s at once. Gotta love Concussion, Heal, Heal...when the going gets tough. Thanks again...your little tips helpedconvince me to take the plunge.
