Someone once said that SOE cares about the flow of credits in the game, let's test the theory. For every day that Smugglers don't get their WELL DESERVED REVAMP the Smugglers strike. No sliced weapons, no sliced armor (they already took that away from us by not having shock absorbant padding appear anymore...nice way around Sherwood Forest their DEV's) no spices and no selling of Faction Points or Faction bases. Nothing from the Smuggler profession.
Got a weapon that only has a DPS of 305??? Who cares deal with it !!!
What? your weapon only has a damage of 754 for a level 54 weapon ?? Who cares deal with it !!!!
What ? Your armor is a moot point because of Armor Break ?? Who cares deal with it !!
What ? You need enough Faction Points for an SF Forward Outpost but can't grind it out?? Who cares deal with it !!
Can't find a Doc to buff you or it's too expensive ? food too expensive ?? Valerian Brandy too expensive ?? Need some spice or Booster Blue ?? Who cares deal with it !!!!!! You have an attack speed on your weapon that's higher than the National Debt of a small country?? Who cares deal with it !!!!
See where I'm going with this people ?? How long would people survive grinding out FS missions on Dath, by theirselves like everyone does, with a weapon that has a DPS and damage lower than your car payment? Or Armor that couldn't be attacked by a Meatlump not to mention a Nightsister Stalker ? I have a T-21 and an ALR with a DPS over 600 and Damage of over 1200 and 1100 respectively that I use on my FS quests on Dath. How did they get that way? SLICING !!!!!
We could also cut down the amount of Jedi at the same time. Want some FS xp? Find a group and grind it out on Dantooine. Want some help with those Destruction of Sith Bases on Dath so you can unlock Melee ? Find a group of FS characters and travel to Dath.
We can do this instead of getting lied to for the next 2 years. It may not work but you never know !!!!!
But that's just my opinion.

Ain't no way you can enforce something like this. And SOE wouldn't care, what difference does it make to them if guns get sliced or not?

What happens when the UAW went on strike? The price of cars went up and the Union workers weren't the only people unhappy. Cause and effect.
Smugglers are more important than anyone realizes.
This is why crooked politicians get reelected, governments don't change and big business doesn't care.... because no one tries.
How did the Jedi get all of their revamps and then on Pub 24 suddenly go from predator to prey with one shot KD's ? BH's doing something about it.

The problem is that not all people who picked up Smuggler are real smugglers. Some just want FD or Last Ditch but if the real smugglers went on strike those guys would just take over.
