Thread: New pub and Mustafar: Between the two can we still fuction?
Pub made me feel worthless now that I can't crowd control (That's what SOE thinks smuggler's job is, right?) anything over level 78. They just dont stick. Went to theed to battle the NPCs last nightand I can't concusion, snare, root, daze, confusion,KD..... ummm really I don't think anything in my toolbar worked outside of the basic attacks. Yay! Oh, Feign Death still works but what good does that do if the rest of my group is dead?
Can't slice most new weaponsfrom Mustafar. Big problem. That's where I get my money until I make master pilot again.
Hmm... I think that about covers what our profession can do. You COULD sell faction, but unless you farm it, you're SOL because people don't like the "high prices"
Someone tell me I'm wrong!
I guess it's back to the sky for us until we get our revamp which was promised with this pub I believe.Oh, sorry, it was suppoed to bewith Mustafar. No, wait it's with pub 33......
Anybody else notice there's really no cool loot for smugglers in Mustafar besides the rug? lol. Everyone else is covered. Pike, Sword, Crafter and CH items, Rifle Caribine. Did I miss something? Is there a quest that gives us an uber pistol out there? Anything? The rug for your nova.

As for the rest of it, you're pretty much spot on.
Pretty stuffed with slicing unless you can either find your own components, find someone who'll pay to use your components, or who'll supply their own components and not whine about then paying you to slice it as they provided all the stuff.
Faction. Yup, stuffed again. You need to invest big time to get to Colonel to begin with, but then get undercut by a pilot who can farm faction faster than you as your combat skills suck unless you're CL80 with something like MBH, and then undercuts you on the price if you had to buy it to begin with.
Other than that, only a couple of spices sell if you're lucky, and then for not much anyway.
Personally I've spent the last month or so in space almost exclusively and between the loot and creds of the 5 squads I've aced in that time and my modest Shipwright sales I've made about 5mil - more than I ever made as Smuggler.
Until we can Smuggle, I'd stick to the stars. There's more money there and it at least feels a bit more Star Wars fighting off TIEs or Awings than being surrounded by hoardes of J33dai spinning groups.
