If you wish to have ranged, go with pistoleer, since you wont be able to master other ranged profs with TKM and M smuggler.
If you're going with pure melee, pick up fencer defenses and perhaps novice medic.

That's what I was thinking. Do you recommend multiple brawler lines, or focus on one such as Fencer, Swordman, or Pikesman? Then try the corresponding elite profession once I finish a line? I'm just not sure how the defense works. I would prefer more defense in my character. Thanks for your help.

I am a Master Smuggler, Master TK, and Master Marksman. My extra skill points are being expended in Commando. I'd like to consider giving up Marksman and Commando, and travelling a new path to augment Smuggler and TK. And I'd like recommendations. Pistoleer or an unarmed line seem the most logical because i am already expending skill points on Pistols 1-4 and Unarmed 1-4. Also, I'd like to heartily engage in Pvp.

Righto. Can render some aid in that department, but you're first going to have to tell me which profyou're going to be utilising as your primary form of attack. Pikeman, swordsman,fencer, tk...?
Additionally, will you be incorporating some medic in this template, or are you going for full blown-defenses?

Well I'm staring to work on my new templete.
BH 3-0-4-0, Smuggler 0-0-4-0, Master Pistoleer.
All pistols all day, hunting Jedi. Need I say more?

I've noticed my defense is a little lacking in my recent Pvp ventures. I usually bleed with the pistol, then use TK to finish them off. I do need better ranged offensive abilities because I'm being 'kited' regularly.
In summary, I'm leaning towards more defense, but any ranged offensive addition would be welcome. It seem as though Mastering Pistoleer would be the best expenditure of SP.

That's basically what I use, except I picked up slicing because I like it on principle. The pistol speed is fantastic (in pve last ditch is amazing) and you get some good defenses as well.
