Yeah they can not db you, but they can wound you down to 1/1/1. Kinda depends on which you would rather do. For myself, it kinda depends on the situation.

With the new decay system in place I can see people FD'ing more in PvP and then going to the cantina and med center making EXP hungry players very happy.

Well i'de like to say that I have successfully used the FD in large PVP battles a few times. When I would get cornered all by myself, with no hope of getting out alive, I'de Feign. Then call in the troops. Usually a combat medic.... with area mind poison.... Thepeopleare alwaysso busy making me pay for not dying they forget to check their radar.

ThenI stand up and we both have a good laugh

I always take the black bars. Usually in large scale PvP...I sit there like a toasted marshmellow....waiting for that moment when my comrades swing the battle...stand up...and put the finishing blow on the **edit** that put me on fire.

Was it worth it? **edit** skippy it was

Without decay, it was largely a matter of how big of a hurry I was in...

If I was in a hurry, I'd go ahead and take the DB, clone, and go on my way.

Now that decay is in, I think I'd rather take the black bars. I can do that and eventually the guys will get bored wounding me. Then, I can stand up and go see my sexy Master Dancer / Master Doctor friend and be all healed up and fully buffed in 10-15 minutes.

Last week, I was running some rebel missions by myself. I started attacking a low-level imperial camp when I noticed that my health was going down rapidly. Not only that, but I was on fire and bleeding. After a moment of confusion wondering when imperial flunkies started doing fire and bleed damage, I realized that another player must be attacking me. Not being healthy enough to fight back, I immediately hit FD and went down.

I started scanning the surroundings to find 2 players (who showed up as red in my radar, which is what confused me since I never do PvP) standing at the edge of ranged weapon range. I noticed that one of them wore the tag of SHDWS, which is an imperial guild on Ahazi notorious for ambushing rebels showing a TEF. I'd heard stories about these guys and how they have covert buddies that will heal the one declared guy to aid in the attack in order to get a numeric advantage. By the time I gone through these thoughts in my head, the fire and bleeding had reduced my health into the negatives, and I decided to just stay down. I actually expected these guys to come over and burn me down, but they left after a few minutes.

I guess the point of the story is that FD sometimes works in PvP.

p.s. - this story isn't meant to flame anybody who might be a member of SHDWS. I'm not fond of PvP or people who feel the need to attack other players (particularly those who are weaker than themselves), but they're just having fun in their own way. Afterall, the PvP combat is built into the game, and the experience was a bit exciting in a way.

I'm sure this has been talked about to no end, yes it's annoying, but no this isn't a gripe. It's a constructive suggestion.

Right now Feign Death is "Feign Incap." They don't appear dead, thus defeating the point of Feigning Death. The fact they can't be Deathblowed kinda gives away the illusion.

Whynot causeFeign Death to make the Smuggler actually appear asa corpse? Greyed outcorpse name, grey X on the map, and all. And then maybe put a time limit on it of 5 minutes or so... but to trade that off, give Master Smugglers the ability to slowly crawl away while "dead". Slow enough it might not be noticble unless you're looking right at the body.

How's that for an idea?

Not so sure about the crawl idea, but I love the rest.
