Guys i'm working on Master Musician but i'm having trouble decideding on where to spend the rest of my skill points. I keep coming back to Smuggler since i already know i want to use pistols for combat and i know theDirty Fightingdisipline is useful and i'd like to be able to sell FP's using the Underworld discipline. My question, however, is concerning the spice discipline. To become a master smuggler i'd have to go up the spice line, is there anything helpful with spices? So far i've yet to find any usefuleness. If i'm wrong please let me know otherwise.

Well, spices are a tricky thing ya see.... If you produce alot with the cheapest resources then you may be able to make a bit of pocket change. As of right now, they are used only for emergencies, nothing else. Doc. food is much better. I'm not saying none will sell, it does sell, but not as much as it used to. If you want money from smuggler, then yes master it and slice/faction points. There is a decent amount of money in both. Faction points take a long time, and the process sucks, but you get alot of money from it when you're done. Slicing.... there is 2 kinds of slicers... public slicers and contract slicers. People usually do a bit of both. Contract slicing is nice, because it's usually always a way to get money. Public slicing is good because you gain regular customers.
My advice... don't get spices unless you plan on mastering.

No...not really useful...except in the most extreme emergencies...
Just about everything in that tree is out-done by Doc buffs, Music buffs, and Chef food. The only semi-useful spice is Muon, which enhances the Mind pool even more...which is what most people seem to want to bolster the most because of not being able to heal mind damage.
Other than that, TOTALLY useless...

Neutron Pixie is an underrated spice. It is ideal for situations in pvp when you are getting clone camped. I have coined it "Zerg Food".

booster blue is an action/quickness buff. it used to be very popular with entertainers.... you might consider keeping some around as a master musician.

I am a spice fiend..all kinds. It's great because with the new foods out there it stacks on top of anything. No sittin there worryin if you have thestomach to put down that pixie...just fire it up and Wham! you're on your way.
Also, with chef food and drink the downers are usually no problem. Just take some food or drink that enhances the same stats your spice tweaks. That smuggler's delight also helps and makes downers less of a comedown to a minor headache and ache for more!
I never really made it as a distrubutor of teh stuff cause I'm always into my stash.Besides, when I sell it I can talk about its affects and help with some foods to make your spice induced journeys right there. Right on. Well anyway, just wanted to let ya know I love teh spice line.

I keep Grey Gabaki on me, since I feel it does the same thing as Muon for the most part and the downer isn't such a pain. 2 brandies and a gabaki will let me spam UH3 with no mind loss. I do keep Muon with me for emergencies. I also keep some Sweetblossom and Glitterdust for some reason (I haven't needed it yet, but just in case). Pixie saved my life the other day when I was attacked by a group of Corsecs unbuffed and unarmored (those npc specials can be killer). I've always liked spices better than food and drink since I'm a cheap mofo.

spices would get help if we had a "stomach" meter like food and drink
then you would be able to consume more than one at a time, just watch out for the downer
or when on a downer pop another to keep goin, but it would catch up to you.
i know brandy has wore off 2 at a time leaves ya in a bad shap until you can take another shot

That would be real cool. Maybe even give a chance of just dying from taking too many doses at once, or in a long spice binge. That way its risky.
