Does pretty much what the explanation in-game for it says; it delays your targets next action.

How long, tough to say. I would guess from using it about the time for 2-3 bodyshots with a 1.8 speed scout blaster.

Drawbacks are it sucks quite a chunk of HAM after the recent nerf, but hey, that's what makes neutron pixie so nice. )

One thing to be aware of when using it around a group of critters/targets, it shoots out in a cone in front of you, hitting anything within that cone. So, you can get agro if your not careful and thus getting to practice your FD skill. )

Damage is about the same, maybe a hair above, bodyshot2 in my experience with it.

I just got PS the other night, does it really delay the enemy for 10 secs? Every time I use it says "delayed 10 secs" but it seems they attack just a few seconds later. Is there a better way to use it along with the HS2 and BS2?

yes.. as long as it hits.. but you cant use it again for 30 sec..

Is there a better way to use it along with the HS2 and BS2?

not really .. in pvp this move works great because of the cone effect.. in pve not so much.. it works good but you end up agroingcreatures you didnt want..

it can sometimes be resisted as well. you will get a message stating so on your screen.

have yet to use this in combat. Being basically a ranged warcry, do you get a message on screen when it lands, as you do with warcry?

Yes, it says you delay your opponent

You gotta peace so you don't break the delay yourself. Try using a PS macro like:

/panicshot;
/peace;

In PvE, it is most effective in gaining 10 seconds of one-on-one combat. I normally kite a group of mobs to get them all in the cone, use panic shot, then go to work on the targeted mob.

Keep in mind that mobs that pack will normally get in front and on either side of you. If you use panic shot when they have already closed to melee range (or when they are not all in front of you), you are likely to panic only the mob you have targeted.

It is also good to use when switching weapons. If you can successfully panic your opponent, it will give enough time to drop a pistol and pick up a melee weapon. But you will most likely have to use a macro and tweak it so that you are not firing a regular shot before you drop your pistol.

I suggest trying it out in combination with lowblow. Succesfull LB followed by PS gives you a rough 10 secs knockdown, enough to kill most medium critters and certainly do a lot of harm to others.

This is true. If you use a successfull lowblow, then panic shot, it seems to keep them on the ground a little longer. Using your pistol for a few more fan shots or whatever u use the most of, dosn't seem to break the panicshot. I kept lowblow and panicshot out of the smuggler tree because of this. If you PvP, its an awesome combo if you can get them to stick just right.

just my 2 cents.

I was under the impression that panic shot no longer worked like it used to in the days of the Lowblow/Panicshot combo.

I have seen that the first shot after panic shot breaks the delay.

Usually, I use panicshot to try to delay the other guys around my target to give me 10 seconds of time to not be attacked by his buddies while I take care of my Target.

Actually, in the days of buffs and high quality comp armor, I don't use PS much at all.

Hey, have the devs actually gone back to revisit this issue like they said they would?
