...It all depends on whether that store is getting the CDs- This is the responce I got from EBgames when I asked about people who had already preordered by walking into a local store:

buy a gift card, just make sure you buy the one that has a pin number
for online use.

...SOOOOO, If your store is not getting the promotional items- (I guess meaning the beta disks) then I would suggest you use your receipt to purchase a gift card that you can use online to make the order that way- Make sure it has an online PIN.
The store I bought from told me they WERE getting the item- of course I live in NY so they might have said that just to get me outta their face- but that's my problem I guess.

So if we preordered online at EB there's no problem right....? I don't necessarily care about the beta but I want that new landspeeder.

Yes. If you pre ordered online then your sh1t is tight- Meaning you will DEFINITELY get your speeder and your beta slot.
If you walked into the store- you will get the beta disk and the speeder IF the store you ordered from is getting the disks (and enough of them).
Otherwise you can get a online gift card and order that way.

My local GameStop said "Online only" when I asked, so I cancelled with them and ordered online.

Hmm... I pre-ordered JTL at gamestop and a day later I received a beta invitation E-mail. Does this mean I'll get that speeder to heh

I got an e-mail yesterday that the bonus disk shipped yesterday.
If anyone can confirm how the speeder works ... I would appreciate it 
(eg. Is it just something special on the bonus disk, can it be destroyed, blah blah).

Nope. That Beta invite has nothing to do with the pre-order. Unless you get the pre-order bonus, no speeder.

I got the same email. I'm thinking the speeder won't work until JTL release. Be great if I'm wrong, though.
