A way to create a non-exploitable trade system whereas asmuggler can successfully trade with an overt - from either faction - and not get a TEF. It would be +20 per Underworld box or something, where Master Smuggler gives you +100 to get NO TEF without fail.
I'm not sure how it'd work, but it would help us out a LOT when dealing with overts and not getting shot out of a house when we are slicing tons of items.

I like this idea, it would allow neutrals to trade with overts/teffed faction members as well.

The only other class I can think of in the game that would merit this idea would be master merchants.

would be nice to if smugglers could trade with members of opposing faction as long as one or the other was covert.

I like this idea, because like the other day, I trade with an overt guildie (didnt notice he was overt, but did get his comp armor to 90%
)and then I get shot in the back by overt imps. it was very aggravating, so this would be a cool skill for us

This is a wonderful idea, not only because it would be cool, but it fits the idea of a smuggler. A smuggler is someone that can deal with everyone, no? I saw an old movie the other night about an Allied plot to smuggle rubber out of Malaysia at the outset of WW2. There is a big time smuggler character who freely deals with both sides. This is a theme common in smuggler movies and it makes sense. A smuggler works outside the law, so in a sense he is outside faction and should be able to deal with both sides, in fact he would have to to survive through bribes and influence/information peddling. A smuggler's true faction is him/herself and money.

Good way to smuggle items between factions, but would need to have a chance to fail. Still need to have risk even at Master level. That said it should be an aspect of "Smuggler's Luck". The more people see you do it the higher the chance of it failing.

They have vendors to get around the TEF.
