if i have negative rebel faction, but want to go rebel can i buy faction points to get me back in the positive?

yes. but you will need tobuy enough faction from a Rebel smuggler to get you out of the hole and then another 200 to join the faction

There's one problem though... I don't think the recruiters will talk to you if you are too far in the hole. There's a list what you can and cannot do around here somewhere. Either in the FAQ or in the Important Links threads.
