apologies to all those who've seen this before, sadly i've not, i did read through the FAQ but didn't quite see what i was after
1) if i have an advanced laser rifle handaltrady at the crafted damage cap can i no longer slice it - even justthe minimum?
2) if i have an advanced laser rifle that is 5 points under the damage slice cap can i slice it just once (which would cap it) or can i cap max dam with the first and continue the next 2 slicesthat wouldjust bring the min damage up?

1. If the gun's max damage is between the slice cap and the crafted damage cap, then you won't be able to damage slice it. If it's still under the slice damage cap, you can damage slice it as much as you want.
2. If the gun is under the slice cap, you can do a full damage slice and it will raise the mininum by the whole 8%. The max damage will of course stop at the slice cap, but you'll still be able to slice.
Note that the crafted damage and slice damage caps aren't the same. Slice caps are usually lower then the crafting caps. Check this thread for info.
