Why is it that Shock Absorbant Paddings are so expensive? Is it just because of their rarity (I didn't get any of them in my BH grind and now I don't think they drop at MBH). If someone is going to slice for AB reduction wouldn't they want the full 75% from Reactive Micro Plating anyway? Or is there something I'm missing like a better armor slicing combo, or that both components are needed for a lvl 3 AB slice?

I am fairly certain the the Reactive Micro Plating drops a lot more then the shock absorbent padding...
Everyone does want the full armor break slice but because the micropadding drops more frequently the price is so cheap because the excess is basically un-usable. Like the entire market of this game it's supply and demand.
Does anyone know where theShock Absorbent paddingdrops?

Just to be clear so you understand the system, you have to do the slice that uses the shock absorbent padding before you can use the reactive mircro plating on it. The shock padding has a horrible drop rate, but it can drop from lots of things. It's that rarity + the fact that you have to use it to get the 75% armor break slice is what makes it so sought after and expensive.
