Thread: This slice loot system stinks... can I have my crafted tools back please?
So, you wouldn't want the ability to just set factories to run your tools instead of running all over the galaxy looting them or buying them off vendors? Bleh, factories may seem like a lot of trouble, but in reality it only takes a few minutes to set up them, get them running, and go do other stuff. Come back later, empty it out.
Sure beats doing BH missions and vendor searches. I know we'll never get the old slicing system back because it was broken under the CU, but the tools could be changed to crafts.
Let me guess, you are one of those RPer's that complained because everybody got their items sliced, and complain about spices being sold on vendors? I don't play a game to stand around and spam, thanks.

Erm... BH missions are the only content I have right now, and I don't mind the occasional CA/AA drop while being at it. I have to agree though, that the loot tables need a fix because a certain slicing component vital for armor slices is much to rare.

If they implemented the whole Spice as a reward thing with the smuggling missions and added slicing components as a reward too then the system would be great. Right now it blows cause bounty hunters are the main source for slicing components which is lame.

The crafted tools could be expirimented on and thus giving out a better slice or less customization points for the slice or other stuff like that. Then have really good rare loots that you can get and with give you awsome slice.I dunno just a thought to make everyone happy
That's about what I proposed a long time ago, and we see how SOE / LA borked that idea all to heck.

The system is not great by any means. There are many adjustments to be made to make it better. What's best is up for debate. Yet, I know that I would not want to go BACK to our old slicing system. Perhaps this is a scenario of the have's and have-not's. Those who 'have' made the adjustments to succeed in this new system (and the responsibilities and rewardsthat go with those adjustments)...and those who 'have not' (or will-not).
You must not have much competition then, that's all I have to say about that matter. I get lots of refferals too, but then again they see the prices and about faint. I'm not the highest charging smuggler on my server, not even close.
