I should probably post this on the Bria forums...but I swear every time I happen to browse across that forum, I can feel my IQ drop...


Anyway...


I actually logged in a few times this weekend in an effort to re-stimulate my interest in SWG. Not that I expected anything new. For the most part, I pretty much wandered around aimlessly. Having been abandoned by my guild (and when I say that, I mean I am truly the last of my guild), and the handful of other contacts that I ever spent any amount of time with gone, I found that I have no direction or focus. As sad as this sounds, during my peak playing times I made very few actual "contacts"...and the one's I did make are pretty much gone.


I did a few slicing jobs, nothing spectacular. And I haven't been around in a while, so I figure I'm off of everybody's faction broker listing (I'm not exactly sure where I would sell from anyway).


I've stuck my head in the Bria forums long enough to know that most of the major players are still around, and the general soap opera that is Bria continues to circulate around pretty much the same names and guilds.


Now, I'm not looking to join anew guild (I've got a whole RP story I can work into being the last member of my guild), but I would like to have a group I could pal around with. I like to solo occasionally, but it gets really old after a while when you don't have anybody to share victories or defeats with. My major problem is I've never been that great working into a new group and meeting people (a major personal weakness and personality flaw).


So, can one of my more well connected brethren help me out? I'm open to group hunts or helping out with faction deals (Rebel) or whatever will get me back into the swing of things. I've never been much for PvP, but I'd even be willing to give that a whirl just for the hell of it. My account is still cancelled, but doesn't run out until August 11, and if I can make a few contacts and meet a group that I like working with between now and then, I may actually consider re-upping on my account.


Just to be clear on my schedule...During the week, I'll probably be playing semi-regularly a couple of hours a night (probably not every night). Fridays and Saturdays, I'll be on later.

I would say for the most part we have one of the more lively towns on the server always a group in town. We pvp fairly regularly, someones usually hitting one of the theme parks or something and always a group just to hunt around town with.


I'm not sure when your play time is but we have a pretty fair amount of daytime players too, and we still have some lots if you decide you wanna stay


just visit the cantina that's pretty much where everyone is

I may drop by tomorrow if I can find some time to log in. It won't take long...I was cruising around Tat earlier and ended up running a few Rebel faction missions out of Mos Nihil and then logged out there.


When I play, it'll probably be later in the evenings...after 8:00p CDT.

Never played with you (that I am aware of,..I self medicate so some of my experiences have been trippy to say the least However,...I do enjoy reading your posts here in the forums ( I agree with you about the bria forums,...but you can't beat the entertainment value.)


I hope you do decide to stick around and if I am in game and you want to shoot the breeze about this or that,...or you wanna lose a few credits in a "friendly" game of pseudo-sabbac,..send me a tell

At least I know I'm not the only one in that boat. Though, I'm sure you've got more connections than I do.


The Smuggler forums have been my only game interaction for so long, you guys are pretty much my only points of contacts. My observation is that crafters (WS / AS) make up alot of the "connection" potential for Smugglers, but I never really made an effort to branch out in that area. You and Signosis were my primary points of contact for faction deals, though I did branch out more here...


Beyond that, my guild provided all the interaction I needed...until they bailed. We were a small guild...our largest member count was only 12 people at one time (about half of that was alts). And you have no idea how really alone you are until that group contact is gone. Casual contact with a few other people I had met kept me going for a while, but then they quit and I lost the most basic reasons for logging in.


Now, in a vain effort to hang on for even just a little while, I'll reach out and see if I can make this work again.


And Caylin...if you happen to catch me online and are up for adventure and want a partner, feel free to shoot me a /tell. We can go die together...or feign death anyway...

Damn, dreven, that's the same boat I'm in right now except not everyone has entirely quit yet. I've got 3 people left who show up on my contact list though I am the remaining member of my guild who logs on much at all.
