I've been spending a lot of time thinking about the kinds of ideas I'd like to see included in a Smuggler class revamp and I realized that it's probably a good idea to wait until after JTL to add or detract anything from Smugglers. Realistically we're one of a very select few classes currently in-game whose nature has anything to do with space and comabt in space. (Others being what... Squad Leader potentially if it was revamped to actually be interesting, Bounty Hunters will need to rethink a few things--cause if I got a price in my head they better have a MUCH bigger ship than mine and it better be quick too...) But anyways, I think we'd be getting ourselves royally screwed if we demanded the revamp now instead of waiting for JTL and figuring out how best to integrate Smuggling with piloting skills as they exist.

On a second note: Since the developers have gone very far out of there way to show us they don't want every character to be identical to one another by making Jedis so diverse in their templating... it would be nice if this philosophy was reflected in other professions by giving a bit more leeway with the routes to become one. Some can't change, but for instance I don't see why we should have to pick unarmed from the brawling tree, if I prefer to do my fighting with a vibroblade than my fists why does that make me less roguish? So how about some dynamic paths to each profession. Surely a couple OR statements instead of the ANDS can't be that much labor.
