Thread: Master Bounty Hunter has a Last Ditch question

Thinking about grabbing the dirty fighting line to supplement my Master Pistoleer stats and dropping Master Bounty Hunter down to 3 0 4 0. My question is ... Is the dirty fighting line all it's cracked up to be? Is Last Ditch a 6x damage or 7x damage? Is Last Ditch really worth it over Stopping Shot or would I be better off dabbling in another prof for more defenses?

Any advice or tips would be greatly appreciated.

I'm not exactly sure I think it's a 6X multiplier. It's a great shot as long as you shoot at the speed cap, which for your template shouldn't be a problem.

The only 2 things worth getting in the dirt fighting tree are Last Ditch and Low Blow... Low Blow only working about 60% of the time. Last Ditch does do the most damage out of any other pistol related skill though. I'm not sure if its 6x or 7x though. The downtime and the ham cost is quite substantial though. My question is, are you going for more pvp or pve? If pvp the smuggler skills are worth getting, chances are though, if you're hunting Jedi Low Blow won't make a diff and they'll prolly block the Last Ditch. Another thing you might concider is the "dodge" modifiers you get from fencer... these can be pretty useful to a pistoleer. Unfortunately I don't think they will apply to every weapon after the combat rebalance. My advice, if you're hunting Jedi, drop pistoleer, and get a melee class. They seem to last much longer against Jedi.

the previous poster is correct that if you're hunting Jedi, you should focus on defenses and melee offense, as they seem to be able to block just about any ranged attack.

However, I find every skill in the dirty fighting line to be very effective in different situations.

LowBlow is arguably the best ranged KD in the game, sticking the most often.

LastDitch is a 6x modifier (this has been confirmed), and does more damage than any other pistol attack, although it is a random HAM attack.

PanicShot give your opponent a delay, just like WarCry does, but it's ranged ... if you lowblow, then Panic, the peace you will be able to nulify your opponent's offensive capabilities for awhile, either excaping or closing in as melee.

FeignDeath is GREAT for PvE when you realize you've bitten off a bit more than you can chew (for me that's usually when I get 2 or more NS Elders at once hehe). It's also great to help switch the agro from you to a real tank. Also, while you're on the ground not getting touched, your HAM bars regenerate. Of course, don't use this in PvP as the other players can still target you and damage your armor.

It's all about what your playstyle is and what you're trying to accomplish, but I sincerely believe that all the specials in the Dirty Fighting line are worth it.
