*Jedi comes to a Smuggler because he has a bounty on his head and cant travel with out some Bounty Hunter taking a shot at him. He wants his name removed and the bounty is 150k, so the smuggler charges 75K. Smuggler groups with the Jedimasking his tef, and they head out to a city that is close to, but not where the Bounty Hunter terminal is. The Smuggler drops the Jedi off in the local hotel and tells him to stay put until thehe can get him off the terminal. Smuggler shuttle's to the next city and slices the Jedi's name off the list and in doing so gets a 10min Bounty Hunter Tef. There were no BH's when our Smuggler got there but one loaded at the shuttle port and is now gunning for our Smuggler. Smuggler calls his swoop and /lowblow's the BH as he rounds the corner. While the BH is down our Smuggler hauls butt out of town, but can see the BH's just out of range, following him. Smuggler sends word to the Jedi that while he is off the BH terminal he needs to helpour Smugglerkill this BH following him. As our Smuggler pulls up to the hotle the BH catches up and starts to open fire. To his suprise the Smuggler has a friend, a Jedi and the 2 beat the snot out of the BH. Now this would be the end of the story but our BH had friends and since both the Smuggler and Jedi are now tef'd for killing the BH (10min) they need to get off world before his friends exact revenge. The Smuggler calls his YT-1300 as red dots start to pop up all around them. They load andare in space, and while the Jedireadys the turret our Smuggler readys the ship for the jump to hyper space. From around the other side of the planet comes 3 BH ships all gunning for our Smugglers YT-1300. The jedi's combat skills and the smugglers pilot skills keep them alive long enough for the jump to happen. They are safe and after the 10 tef is gone they part ways.........*
I know this is an idyllic way to look at the future but hey, Im bored @ work!......

Brilliant! Reminicent of my own "Dumb idea of the day" threads in months past, only you obviously arent just bored at work, you are also not well supervised- I never have enough time here to write something so eloquent!
Additions to your story I would love to see:
As the BH ships close in, the smuggler swings round and lays in a suprise straffe of bolts, forcing the enemy craft to take heavy evasive manuvers, from which they need several seconds to recover a clear shot of the smuggler's ship (/panicShot applied to more than just pistols, ala Solo's return in A New Hope!)
Unable to completely shake them, the smuggler dives into a nearby asteroid cluster. Using the surrounding interfearence of the asteroids, the smuggler kills power to the ship and takes a great gamble, drifting along with the surrounding debris, appearing as nothing more than annother bit of space junk to radar untill one of the BHs make visual contact again. (/feignDeath applied to starships ala Solo's infamous trick in Empire)
A single BH manages to track the Smuggler's hyperspace vectorto his destination in wild space before his TEF expires. Forced to take even more desperate measures, our gambling smuggler dives dangerously close to an Ion storm, risking a disabeling electrical discharge (confirmed JTL content). Blue bolts streak acrossthe YT-1300shull, shutting down the engine, shield, and weapon systems! The BHs greed and vengance blinding him to the obvious danger, andthey too rush into the cloud, closing for the kill, only to be stricken by the same fate as our Smuggler. Driftingless thana hundred metersfrom eachother, our smuggler grins through his canopy at the contorted face of the BH. Perhaps screams cannot be heard through the void of space, but this Smuggler can read lips, and has a fluent understanding of Hutt curses. (more smuggler languages like huttese?)
The BH, now calmer, sits staring at the disabled YT-1300 with resolve. They were disabled only moments apart, and he is quite certian that the few seconds difference will not change the outcome of this battle. He has only to wait. Meanwhile, the Smuggler is frantically running through the halls of the disabled freighter, attempting to bypass systems and restart any system (advanced slicing options?), but remains unsuccessfull, watching each sub-system he tries to slice fail as quickly as he bypasses the failsafes. In a moment of desperation and frustration, he smacks the unit with the palm of his hand, and it springs back to life! (Smuggler's luck?) A shocked and disabled BH spits up the spice he took just before this began on the surface, and watches in disgust as the YT-1300 stretches off into hyperspace.

best thinking i've heard in a while.
Now if only Jedi had to be afraid of BH missions in the first place.
