a href="Insert your link fully here">Put your clickyname here (add a < before the a in front ... no spaces or anything)
but you need to put the above in the html editor with nothing else on the line & don't go back and edit...just post.

When you open a reply window, type your message in the regular graphical editor, putting some placeholder text where you want your clicky to be.
(ie. Clicky Goes Here.)
After you have your message typed up like you want it, click the Edit As HTML link on the bottom of the Graphical editor.
Find your placeholder, then insert your clicky using the "<a href="whatever.com">Clicky text here</a>" tags.
Then, submit your post.
DO NOT Preview
and
DO NOT return to the Graphical editor before you submit.
If you do either of these things, your clicky is null and you have to go back to HTML to fix it again.

although it doesn't seem to like being edited
yeah thats why my posts never get a clicky, get fed up keep editing it over and over trying to correct the clicky.
So just don't add the clicky anymore

My favorite method is still to use Outlook Express
Whatever you type is auto-magically converted into HTML. You can then copy and paste the code however you want. It makes a great deal of stuff pretty easy to post. That's just me though.

you mean that this clicky would really lead to the dev tracker?
Man if that's so simple, i guess i'll flood the forums with clickies now.
I may never thank you enough for the tip of never preview, because that's what might have ruined all my precedent attempts, and that wasn't mentionned in the few topics i read about making clickies.

Just don't send your mail as HTML or you'll have text pundits like me replying with hate mail. A trust me on this issue, we're taking back the world! We're growing stonger every day, US-7bit ASCII, yes, we will once again make this the only accepted form. Muhahaha, brace yourself all you special character nations, asian sign writers and the like, the 7 bits are comming back, and we're stronger than ever!
