Thread: Why am I Here? Friends Jumped to EQ2, No Smuggler Love....

True but Lucas Arts is still at the Helm here, not SOE. Remember that SOE is just the subcontractor.
I feel your pain. I recently dusted off my copy of Aliens vs Predator 2/Primal Hunt and have been having a blast with it(what can I say, I loved the AvP movie). I'm to the point of letting my subscription run out (I use the game cards) and calling it quits after this billing cycle is up. No Love=pissed off customers and from what I hear, WoW is lookin' pretty good. Might have to give that a try. I guess I'll see what the next month brings.

I am not going to invest in another SOE game until this gets fixed to my liking. And if they don't fix it before I get sick and tired and cancel my account, then I will undoubtedly never make another SOE product purchase.
I've invested a lot to drop it now, but I need to see what happens with after the CU and the "non combat" profession upgrades. We as a community were told "after JTL is launched". They've given us a plan, lets see if they stick to this one - as opposed to sticking it to us.
I am right there with You, I have been Playing and Building up since Launch. I have Items in my house that are one of a Kind Items (ok maybe thousand of a kind, But they are not around any more) and I would hate to throw it all away.
I have no Plans to Go to another SOE game Or even just EQ2 in general. COH looks Interesting and so Does the Upcoming D&D online.
I Just wish there was some sort of Comunication that something is coming for us Smugglers. Anything might be enough to sway my thoughts of leaving.

very true, but a friend of mine who played swg from day two, and is now playing EQ2 said this to me.
"EQ2 is what SWG should have been. I can't believe the two games are released by the same company."
/shrug
i dunno, but i'm slowly moving towards EQ2, or at least to splitting time

I have to agree with this statement. I have virtually no complaints after a week of playing EQ2. I haven't submitted a single bug report. Things obviously work. I have yet to see any empty skill boxes, and all of my specials work (I have 14 or so). Sure, there are systems that people don't like, but everything that I've seen works. The few minor issues have been addressed fairly quickly (within the week), so I have no complaints. Sure, the true test comes in a few weeks when the eye-candy gets old and the luster wears off a bit, but I'm really excited with the foundation of this game.
