I don't know if this is an old idea, and if it is just smack me in the head, but...

I'd really love to be able to land POB ships at shuttleports.

Tell me this wouldn't be great for Master Smuggler. Just give us an access to the planetary map from space, and a launch option from the ticket terminal.

Obviously there would need to be restrictions. I suggested POB only for two reasons. First, it requires Master Pilot. It might not eat up points, but it takes time and effort to get. Second, it would open up great mission potential. I think we only see one spaceport in all of the original trilogy. Every other time we see ships landing, its either in the middle of nowhere (dagobah, endor), at military bases (Echo Base, Yavin IV), aboard starships (Star Destroyers, anyone...?), or at private docks (Like Lando's at Bespin). Personally, I'd love to see all of these things added. Taking public transportation on guerilla operations is so... demeaning. Adding a high-price faction faction structure like a hangar or some such would keep the playing field fairly level and keep everyone happy. Limit everyone to one ship "stored" thus at any time, retrievable only at that location.

I'd also love to have POB ships boardable. Give me enemy spawn that wants to come on board and search me, not just reduce me to my sub-atomic components.

For role-playing and grouping, it provides endless opportunities. I probably don't even need to go into detail.

I'd also love to see Smuggler Structures added. I always thought it was kind of silly that smugglers can't place cantinas. Cantinas, Casinos, and Warehouses. Being that a smuggler is technically "A mover of goods",we need some structure or means to do so. A high-storage / low lot structure would be perfect, and its even "smuggler-ish".
