Thread: How to Fix Smuggler

1. Make underworld like the BH's Investigation line. Make Smuggling missions and make them give smuggling XP. Underworld I and novice you get jobs from local thugs, Corellia Swoop Gang, Desert Demons etc. Underworld II and III you earned a better rep and can get jobs from more prominent mobsters like Borvo the hutt for example, then at underworld IV and Master your in the big time taking work from Jabba, Lady Valarian maybe even Talon Karrde.


2. Bring back slicing XP, nuff said.


3. Have a option on them all for "Special Missions" which get you visibility from BHs, to make those crazy PvPers happy.


4. Have more options for smugglers with JtL, if you have it you get more dangerous missions involving space smuggling.


5. Factional smuggling! at underworld III Sell out allow Imps to sell weapons to rebels for money and rebel FP;Rebels would get informationsmuggling quest, and neutrals selling wook slaves to the empire or weapons to rebels;the more dangerous the mission make an option for Stormtroopers/Rebel Commandos to interrupt the gathering, if you manage to complete the mission with them in the area searching, you get a bonus, if you get killed by them you take a big hit to your faction and loose the mission.


5. Make a Really high end series of quests involving space and ground elements to get a YT 1300 modified in mostly the same way as the falcon and the intereror cannon complete with smuggling compartments (theres a quest for a replica of hons pistol why not his ship?) the requirements would be Master Smuggler and Master Pilot to even get the quest from Jabba.


PS dont even whine shipwrights, thats a small, small fraction of a servers community.


6. Have npc bounty hunters spawn randomly if you fail or steal enough from the missions, even for the special pvpmissions. Those pvpers would probaly *Love* npc and pc bounty hunters coming for them. If you get enough a bounty on your head (both pvp quests and non), you could unlock a quest where boba fett is hunting you, you couldnt fight him naturally but if you manage to escape and complete the quest you'd get a badge "....has sucessfully evaded boba fett." and would be eligable to take on the quests for the Falcon Replica in addition a underworld faction boost out of respect from evading the galaxies best bounty hunter. If you fail, you suffer a large faction hit with the underworld organizations and boba fett 1 hit kills you or if its in space destroys your ship.


Sofar this is just a rought idea how to make smuggler fun.

- I support NO DECAY.It should be run like EQ . No 20k price cap on the bazar and everyone can craft. Its has worked for 7 years on everquest and there is no decay plenty of money and no crazy prices.

Decay is only good for crafteres and bad for everyone else.

I'd say just release the Smuggler Revamp sometime that should help alot

I am very against a replica of the Millenium Falcon. The current YT-1300 is bad enough, in the fact that all of them have the huge dish on top which was one of the features the Falcon had which set it apart from the rest visually.

If we got a quest for anything like that, I'd prefer it'd be a seperate POB ship that's certified at Master Smuggler, and doesn't require a specific faction to use. Hopefully, it'd be that ship in the anniversary picture "Smuggler's Run".

Most smugglers would love a more realistic YT, the fact that they have hons black falcon replica in game means seeing a falcon replica isnt too far off the mark. Smugglers should be getting a special ship, heck even Dash Rendars YT 2400 would be a good smuggler only ship.

I agree with you on that point.



On MP ships: What I think is that when (not if....) we get space smuggling missions, we have a chance of being boarded. This will allow "duels"/PvP on MP ships. We have a chance to hide our cargo in Smuggler-installed, Smuggler-certed smuggling compartments. I think we should also be able to make "special modifications" to our own ships with some help from shipwrights (ala WUKS/AUKS). If we want to modify our YT-1300's, so be it. If we get YT-2000's, then I'll be droolin. We've been getting stuff fixed now, and more content will follow.
