I want to ask if anyone else has noticed that advanced core Recon armour cannot be sliced without going over the 60% hindrance mitigation limit - and thereby giving the user a rate of fire hindrance?

I've crafted recon armour with and without layers and both have a final hindrance of about 57%, meaning the slice will put the user's hindrance after mitigation about 2% (regardless of the stats of the armour).

This issue has been raised on the As forums, but am bringing it up here as it means that slicing recon may actually make the armour less desirable, rather than improving it.

It seems to me that it is a bug that the rate of fire hindrance is double the movement hindrance and that about 5% of the rate of fire should be redistributed to movement so that slicing will not ruin this armour type.

I am assuming that a similar bug occurs with assault armour but on different hindrance stats. AS cannot resolve this as hindrance can't be experimented on, so if the same problem exists with assault armour that means that the devs have potentialy taken away two thirds of all our armour slicing buiness.

Ive had the same problem my friend, 3mil worth of armour sliced to give my hinderance only . CSRS havent got back to me

Slicing Armour increases the resistances and the hinderance.

If the armour is at its unlayered resistance cap, it will raise hinderance only.

I advise my customers not to slice armour at the moment.

Perhaps this will change after this supposed revamp.
