OK just for fun...
You know how survey droids work.. well how about one like that for Smugglers. It can hold 1-2 items/crates. And can be sent to a recipient (as long as they are online) on any planet, maybe taking 10-15 mins to arrive.It could have a risk factor of being spotted like the searches. Could be an interesting income resource.
One way trip only ?

I would rather have a droid that would assist with Slicing. Maybe not in an active fashion, but something that would give some sort of invisible mods to Slicing, kinda like droids with med modules do for medics and docs.
Makes sense to me, given all the slicing we saw R2 doing in the films...

To build on Dreven's version of the idea.....Maybe the droid could replace the need to use molecular clamps, or could possibly be fitted with WUK's and AUK's.

I think a slicing droid is the best idea I've heard on these forums on a long time......
Maybe the the droid could give you the option to choose which attribute you will slice next, but the amount of % of the slice would still be random.
Or keepthe system the way it is, but with a droid, the percentage would go higher.
AND....the droid would have a storage module which renders whatever is inside UNDETECTABLE to Imperial scans.
I think this idea has great potential, we should refine it and take it to the devs....I don't know how they will react though, seeing as how they JUST did a droids rebuilt publish....

Don't we already have that? I know that I keep all my slicing gear in a droid. Keeps them from decaying when I die (sadly this happens more often than I would like). However it would be cool for it to have a slicing module that increased my slicing percentages like Dreven said.

I was thinking along the lines that the droid could replace mol clamps by telling you which wire to cut and be able to store the WUK's and AUK's for you as well as dispense them as needed. Using droids as storage is commonplace, but it would be nice to see them with some addtional smuggler bonuses.

I would hate that. That would completely eliminate my clamp business.
