Thread: Tantione Smuggler factions?

Hello, Im a new Smuggler on the Ahazi Galaxy and was hoping for some advice. I poured over tons of posts on here, Vault and Alk and Smugglers Den websites. For some strange reason no one mentions a very important factor on being a Smuggler. Underworld factions.On Tantoine I beleive there are two underground guilds to join. Jabba the Hut or the Vesarians.
In the casino in Mos Esley I met the NPC's there that give out underworld quests and I beleive those are the Vesarians. I think if one wants to work for Jabba they would have to go to his palace and take missions there. Between the two factions where do you start at? Is it just those two? Which is the best to join and work for?
After the Smuggler re-vamp who you work for will make a big differance. That will be your employer. Han Solo worked for Jabba the Hutt. This employer will be the one giving you the smuggling missions. If you do them wrong then your going to have some d00d player named Greedo the Killer Pimp looking to pay you a visit.

I've been reading the quests on Allahkazam. Looks like Jabba and Lady Valarian is at war with each other. I see both sides have a ton of quests to do. Anyone have any insight on which side to join?

I asked a few SMugglers on my server what they did. Non of them had a clue what I was talking about. All they do it camp spawns.
What is going on in this game? No one does quests???

The Valarian quest is pretty short, probably only about a dozen missions in total. You do get a really cool glowy force crystal looking thing for one of the quests though so I think they are worth doing.
The Jabba missions are a full blown themepark with a few dozen missions. There are some good items to be gotten, especially the painting. Completing the themepark also gives you free run of jabba's palace so you can take screenshots with the band and boba fett. In general I consider Jabba's quests to be more rewarding.
To do either set of missions you need postive faction with the people giving them. There is a cave on tatooine full of jabba's guys that you can kill to get positive valarian xp and also the reverse.
My advice is to do the valarian quests first and then do the jabba's palace quests and keep positive jabba faction at the end of it. With upcoming things like the spice trade and the "hutt casino" area it seems to me that being on Jabba's side is probably the better long term decision.

Thank you for the reply. I wasn't sure if I was able to do both quests or not. If I do all the Vasarians quest it would give me negatice Jabba faction.
I think your right about sticking with Jaba in the end. When Space then SMuggler revamp comes out being with Jaba is going to be a good thing I think.
