Thread: Add a Black Market to sell illegal and banned items?
The trend seems to be going towards our items becoming less and less legal. As that happens being unable to sell our goods on vendors will begin to annoy everyone fairly quickly.
So how about this as an idea...
We make the Bizaar slicable to add a "Black Market" tab. This would be subject to all the systems in place already for the Bizaar with three exceptions:
1. Only smugglers can access it via slicing.
2. No limit on item pricing or howhigh auctions can go.
3.Items of any legality level can be sold.
This in effect will allow us to trade difficult to obtain illegal items, raw materials and loot items for a most likely inflated value. I can see a player coming up to a smuggler and saying, "I'm looking for a krayt skull, can you make that happen?" Then the smuggler slices the bizaar and finds one for sale forsay 200,000creds and turns around and offers to provide it for that plus some skim. The player with the skull sells it and is happy, the smuggler gets a skim and is happy and the buyer gets his skull and is happy.
Thoughts appreciated.
This opens the door to a whole new way to grief people. Since only smugglers can access the "Black Market" then how can the other player be actually sure that you put the item on the market.
Maybe an email system can be put into place for the actual seller.
The skimming of the top will happen but what about people who abuse this?
Maybe cap this automaticly like the Bank Tip System. They could even increase it to 10%.
How will the seller retreive the item if it goes unsold? They would have to find the orignal seller?
I am at a loss for this one ATM.
Just a few things that I see. Please feel free to add to this.
This would not effect the dancers or people being healed as they are in the front of the Cantina and as such not a part of the black market.
Possibly the TEF would go away if you manage to get out of the Cantina Alive. This would go to preventing Greifing as if you can get out of the cantina you've escaped.
