Lets have a smuggler bonding ritual on the forum. I was reading a post a few minutes ago where someone points out that its all been said when it comes to smuggler. You know I think he is right, and lets say for four days lets talk about something else. Something that nobody has talked about before.

Lets decide to create a side story just so we can all roleplay along and pretend. Get angry be funny. Stay in character. If anyone asks what you are talking about. Just say something like you need to get the newsletter. With no further hesitation here is the story.

The smuggler profession is getting removed from the game. We will get it back in JTL 2 expansion due out january 2005 when we are going to have to pay for it. So the professions name will officially chang in three weeks to freighter captain. I leave it to you guys to come up with the one branch titles. The freighter captain has an increadibly important job. He pilots the ships that go to starports. He gets paid off pilot a spaceship terminal, or something run with it. The point is the profession is now we are bus drivers.

The freighter captain has new skill requirements compared to smuggler. In that we must master a line of entertainer aswell. A jab at the pointless unarmed line.

Freighter captain skills

We no longer slice thats what smugglers do. We spork a ancient craft that turns ranged weapons into melee weapons, and melee weapons into ranged weapons. Now occassionally we can turn any weapon into a lightsabre. We can now turn one armor into a less valuable armor.

We no longer make drugs. Since drugs are illegal and bad for you. Now we will make over the counter pills. Instead of booster muon neutron. We now make headache reducer cough syrup, and Candy flavored chewable vitamins.

The combat moves FD has been removed since we were bad people for useing it. Instead we now have the move beg for mercy. Where its like FD, and you cannot be killed but by a bh who is psychopath anyway. All you do is cry scream and talk about your family. Sitting on your knees the whole time,

You guys can come up with what the other moves do, and decide what the faction thing is and so on.

Remember this is a see story if you decide to join in try to stick to the seed story, and everyone will try to stick by your addon. Remain in character. Be creative be funny try to post on other players funny threads. Just trying to roll a ball till like sunday, and now atlease we can talk about something new. Use this as a backhanded way to poke fun at the smuggler profession and to vent humor.

This has always been interesting on other forums and chatrooms I have been on before. Just makeing up an entirely new story and everyone sticking to it. P.S. If any player from another profession comes in try to suck them in on the story. If they actually beleive its funny. If they tell there pals to check it out even funnier. This might be a good way to get further dev attention. After all you know they have learned to tune out whineing. When others start talking about whats going on this forum maybe someone will swing by.

The point is to wisecrack about our profession in a tongue and cheek matter. Like the guy said its all been said and debated over and over again, and I am willing to bet that playing out a farce would be whimsical and funny. Just for a change. I suppose none or few of you have done a plug story before. If you have it was probabally ages ago. Here is how it goes.

Someone comes up with an idea like smuggler changeing to freighter captains, and then someone adds on a bit have you all seen the new taxi cab looking outfits we get for freighter captain? Its like a snowball everybody adds on there own little bit of humor. Its a way of jokeing about smuggler without actually haveing anything to do with smuggler. Imagine putting the president in a clown outfit.

Besides I think it will be a hoot when someone brings up the random sporking issue. Saying something is wrong on TC about it like everytime you spork a t21 you get a survival knife.

Besides I would think it cute. For the guy who didnt get the memo to come on and hear about all these supposed bad changes, and goes balistic. The point is this is a seed thread take what you got here make your own post about this bogus change, and try to talk about it seriously.
