in terms of what bonusses/skills it gives u: it gives a % bonus to slicing and u get a 25% discount on factional stuff. that's about it.
plus: some people explicitly want their stuff sliced by a master, so u will get a bit more business than with slicing 4.
just my 2 cents

If you're combat oriented, then the only line really worth dabbling in is Dirty Fighting. Last Ditch is the most powerful pure damage pistol attack, and a ranged KD with Low Blow is hard to pass up.
But unless you're really wanting to be a Smuggler, I wouldn't bother mastering. Sure, at Slicing IV you can slice your own gear, but it will be less than a master can, so hardly worth the skill points vs. cash spent on master sliced items.

Is it just me, or is this like the 10th time we've seen this thread this week?
Either master Smuggler, or don't. If you decide later that it wasn't worth it, just drop skills and respec.

DINGDINGDING! We have a winner! There's the answer you've been looking for. Thanks Drev - looks like this time you snapped before I did.

hmm have you guys forgot the best reason to master smuggler???
The coolness factor.
but i agree, master it and see if you like it, if not just drop it and try something else.

Smuggler is certainly one of those professions you do because you WANT to be a Smuggler.
Not because you want skills, or bonuses, or to be uber.
You're either a Smuggler, or you're not. It's a lifestyle, not a skillset.

I don't know about this. I think Low Blow is the best KD that i've ever had. I also love being a smuggler.

If you gotta ask if Smuggler is worth mastering or not, then it probably isn't worth it for you. Only those who are quite loyal to this broken profession and are in it for the long-run should master it.
Smuggler is actually a lot of fun, I have a blast with it... despite that we can't do much of anything.

I would say yes, it's more than worth it, but then I'm somewhat biased. If you want to be an uber 1337 combatant under the current system, Smuggler probably isn't for you. If however you want to add some spice to your template (the pun is most deffinitely intended), then yes, master away.

As a master armorsmith, I couldn't think of any other profession that could combine better
I've saved millions by being my own smuggler.

The really neat thing about mastering Smuggler is you can smuggle as well as you can without any smuggling at all.
