a guildy of mine has FAILED to FD some days ago... he only has smuggler 0010, but when i only had that skill, i never had any problems with feigning...

was i lucky, or did they fix FD to prevent "Feigners"?

(feigner=someone taking up smuggler for the sole purpose ofFeign Death, DUH!)

The current way the system works is that Feign Death has a chance to fail. Failure means instead of taking a dive, you spend the HAM costs and remain fighting.

The problem with thisis thatthe skill mod is so very high at Dirty Fighting 1, that failure is few and far between. In fact, I've only failed five times. Twice while at Dirty Fighting 3, once at Dirty Fighting 4, and Twice as a Master Smuggler(although Master Smuggler is the same as Dirty Fighting 4, due to no mods in the box).

u can feign, but if u get up from feigning while still dizzy, u can fall over once more... but then again, in PvE u can just lie down and relax a little

Ive been a smuggler for about a year now,a master smuggler that is, but long before that, I was a commando with FD. I only had Dirty Fighting 1...that was the only time I ever failed, and that itself was quite unoften. As soon as I committed to smuggler and got Dirty Fighting 2...I ceased to fail, and havent since.

You get a +45 mod in the first box, when you actually learn the skill, after that, you get +15 boxes till four. I'm surprised they never lowered that first box to increase the failure rate....they should put the +45 in the master smuggler box. It would certainly stop alot of Feign deathin Jedi....(lol I happen to be one myself on another toon!
