Because I just haven't been butting in enough. Anyone else notice that they haven't seen a single one of the new patrols? I haven't been to Espa lately, really though, does anyone NEED to go there for any reason? I and in Eisley (were most of the people anyway) and shuttle towhee I'm going. So what's the point? They've added black holes and novas But you don't have to go near than if you don't want...

And I'm still against this politician thing being 0 Sp. On my server forum there are people asking for a shuttle Near Ft. tusken. there was ore, but the city lost it due to WoW . the city is Still there, the shuttles are capped again (another city got there shuttle) and so we're Still left withe fact that there are too many empty cities. Probably not the forum for this one but I know there's a lot of Lando wannabes out there

My house is right outside of Eisley on Radiant. I've seen one patrol in all my travels since they put them in, and it was right outside my house.

Politician being 0 SP has pluses and minuses. Until they make Politician more interactive in the game (some sort of function in static cities) I really don't think it matters either way. Honestly I think the best thing they could do for cities would be to lower the cap. It annoys me that I don't get the feeling of travelling through the wild when going from city to city anymore because there were so many. Cities at this point are almost meaningless.

Oh yeah, and the shuttleport near Fort Tusken... needs to go away. People had to travel there... period. I think any city within a certain perimeter of that place should get raided on a regular basis.

"Jedi claims of being "broken" are like saying "But my TV isn't widescreen! It's broken! My TV can't show high-def pictures in 1080i, it can only do 720i! It's broken!" Meanwhile, crafters are saying "We'd really like to have a TV that's larger than 12" and gets more than 4 channels and doesn't constantly lose vertical control", and entertainers are saying "Can we get some color instead of this B&W piece of junk?" And smugglers? We're listening to radio programs of "The Shadow" and "The Abbot and Costello Comedy Hour" and hearing FDR's Fireside Chats. We don't even HAVE a damn TV, much less a broken one or a "broken" one by Jedi standards. I'd LOVE to be as "broken" as they are." - The Legendary Solo4114

Wow that's something that needs to be added as content NPC raids on Cities. Tusken I Imp, Rebel, whoever. that'd be awesome.Maybe they can put that in the same expansion as the "u"nderworld content...

I'm still against the whole idea of "Rebel" cities. I would like to see cities being able to show rebel sympathies, with Imp raids to clear out the sypathisers being part of it... and of course rebel guerilla attacks on Imp alligned cities. They could really start with static cities on this as it shouldn't be too hard to implement with what they have. In other words, scanning patrols should not be the limit of a crackdown.

And I'd also like to see them go beyond Tuskens. Any city that lies within a certain radius of an NPC POI should be subject to the habitants spilling over into their area.

well, Jabba 's themeparkinvaded Wayfar. I saw one of the spawned buildings from those missions spawned on top of a building in Wayfar so you couldn't get in.

I STILL have to ask; What GOOD are the patrols to smugglers anyway?

No one is hassled enough at the right places, like starports, to hire us to move items for them so what's the POINT of the beefed up patrols?

Smuggler, Smuggler, Smuggler Pie, Two years of "Soon"(TM), a harsh bunch of lies.
Ask me a riddle and I reply: "Smuggler, Smuggler, Smuggler Pie"

Smuggler, Smuggler, Smuggler Pie, Dancers can't smuggle and neither can I.
Ask me a riddle and I reply: "Smuggler, Smuggler, Smuggler Pie."

Smuggler, Smuggler, Smuggler Pie, Why are there Jedi, I don't know why.
Ask me a riddle and I reply: "Smuggler, Smuggler, Smuggler Pie."

Honestly I don't even care about that as much. I Want to be hassled enough that I have to think about were I'm going and what I should plan for. Not, oh there's a storm commando standing all by himself over IN that tree by the bar I just built. He should come inside witht his Nova buddies and move chairs and scan for illegal goods

That's exactly the point. Patrols are lame. Patrols in the middle of nowhere by a droid are incredibly pointless. They're a farming tool, plain and simple. Even the new ones will become meaningless as people figure out a way to get around them. This brings us all back to the point that's been made many times over, there needs to be a contraband system. The point I wish they would get is that by continuosly raising the bar with what they've already done will accomplish this.

I understand their problems with starports, the answer is to make the other cities more appealing. Raids and more player interaction would be a step in the right direction in this. I know players will never be allowed to be mayor or control a static city, but why can't a mayor's cabinet be elected? Why can't a chief surgeon of the city's hospital be selected? Why can't Imperials (in Imp controlled cities) become a reserve for the city? There are tons of possibilities now that Politician has no skill point value. They need to turn that into a good thing by allowing players to become more involved in player cities.

Having patrols at this point is great. Now let's add more raids (from both sides). Start increasing fines. Eventually make things illegal and taxable. That was one of the founding principles of my Underworld proposal. It has to be something that they draw from what's already going on. It's right there in the grasp IMO, now somebody just has to have the cajones to grab it.
