Smuggler Archive

I was a Master Smuggler that respecced to base buster very recently. Anyway was about to help a friend with his Mel mission and we drive by a level 79 (I am 50 now) named NPC. He starts shooting and I didnt think it was me till my bike was getting blown to hades.

So I drive off, didnt want to mess with it at the time. Lost aggro then the same NPC starts attacking my jedi friend and he kills him, getting the same loot that drops off the BH missions NPCs!

I like this, very very much. Yay for "some" content for us at least.

I think this is wishful thinking. I don't think it was an NPC BH who jumped you b/c you're a smuggler. You can think it was if that makes you happier.

Probably just a regular NPC whom which you had bad faction with. It was merely coincidental that it was labeled as a bounty hunter. You can find them all over the place on many planets.

Well this has been happening all over the place and since I was the only Smuggler in the group and he the only jedi, it makes sense. I may be wrong, but I have never seen this before and it was in my town, LOST City.

EDIT: no faction was related, just a named NPC.

Every NPC has a faction (and no I'm not talking about imp/reb)

Some of these NPCs have faction you would not think they do. I have been attacked by NPCs who gave me Nym faction and cost me Canyon Corsair faction even tho I was on Naboo at the time and they where just labeled with a name and a title (sometimes Bounty Hunter some times other titles)

Bounty hunter marks can be any faction pretty much. Somtimes I even lose significant Corsec faction by killing one. Because of this you can often get agro by someone's BH mark just by standing to close. I watched someones "boss" (double gold chevrons) start making a mess of dath outpost the other day.. several bikes exploded and a few people lay incapped since they all got caught by surprise when it agro'd.

Well my friend didnt get any faction either way loss/gained when killing him. Also. there are NEVER ANY NPCs in LOST City, for the last 2 years I have never seen any there at all. Unless someone trained them in there, but this was teh middle of town.

This is all speculation of course until Devs say something about it.

I have a smuggler on Naritus. Last night an NPC just started shooting at me. What I learned later is that a player BH took a BH mission and this NPC was his target. The NPC just happened to spawn in the Mining Outpost and attacked ME only. No clue why - I am Rebel and was set to Combatant but on Naritus - the MO is FULL of combatant rebels.

My friend couldn't attack the NPC. The NPCwas just labeled with his Name so I couldn't even tell it was an NPC at the time.

Any thoughts on this? Was it because I"m a smuggler or because I was a low level combatant so he attacked me.

The NPC bounties frequently attack "combattant" players that get to close to them.. sometimes you have to get right on top of them or stand there for a bit before they agro.

Maybe that was it, I am lvl 50, was combatant and was the only one that was able to attack it until I quit aggro and then my friend did. I like the idea of NPC BHs coming after me, even if I can barely or not beat them
