Bite me!

I am so sick of the threads with devs must read in the subject line.

I am sick of petitions.

Sorry, just venting here... I'm stuck at work.

"Jedi claims of being "broken" are like saying "But my TV isn't widescreen! It's broken! My TV can't show high-def pictures in 1080i, it can only do 720i! It's broken!" Meanwhile, crafters are saying "We'd really like to have a TV that's larger than 12" and gets more than 4 channels and doesn't constantly lose vertical control", and entertainers are saying "Can we get some color instead of this B&W piece of junk?" And smugglers? We're listening to radio programs of "The Shadow" and "The Abbot and Costello Comedy Hour" and hearing FDR's Fireside Chats. We don't even HAVE a damn TV, much less a broken one or a "broken" one by Jedi standards. I'd LOVE to be as "broken" as they are." - The Legendary Solo4114

I htink the vast majority of posts are just for the intention

of getting the attention of other players fof information on

the game and advise.

I'm pretty sure this is the reason people feel obligated to

put such things in their titles, for the benefit of the devs

in helping them sift through things that they don't need to

bother with and obviously don't.

i do however share your criticism of the posts that really

just want their particular bug fixed

I find it extremely humorous that in all the days I've logged onto the forums and hit Dev Tracker, I have never seen a dev make a post on a "Devs Please Read" thread.

It also drives me nuts that instead of providing something constructive that people just type /sign...

When I saw the title I groaned, thinking "another so called genious who think he can "fix" in a sentence or two a whole very complex game where every changes cause a lot of consequences". Then I saw your nick as the author and I thought "what the heck, not his style at all". Then I read the post and laughed.

Mind you, proposing new systems or changes to system, like the several excelent suggestions we saw here, about smuggling, about FD, about slicing, that's very good and quite ok. But I agree with you, it is not the same at all as saying "Ooh I know THE thing that will fix ALL problems with SWG and will make it DA GAME, all Devs please read plz plz plz plz plz?" lol

TH - I just found this thread on the Politician forum where the person said "please read and they could fix the game".....AND BY GOD THEY WERE RIGHT!! Tigg's get a memo out to all emps to troll the forums for any thread that says "Dev's pls read" we will have the game fixed in a week. I mean really,just look at this thread it'spure genus....how we missed this I will never know! As a matter of fact this person is just the kinda free thinker we need around here, lets get him/her a job here... wow....just wow.
