Thread: Bomb droid test results...so far
MSE droid with 37 det power did about 1000 damage to a lvl 76
R3 driod with 55 det power did about 2000 damge to 76
Mse 37 did 1000 damage to a lvl 26
R3 55 did 2000 to a lvl 26
all came out with those numbers
looks like the bombs have a universal damage, in pve
If the damage IS universal and they will do 2,000 damage in PVP, then perhaps they may be worth something.
Keep in mind one thing...I had the chat log show the armor absorb rates, and when the bomb went off...NO armor absorb rates showed. but that might not mean anything either.....
Point is if someone is wearing armor that absorbs 45-49% damage...well thats is a 49% reduction out of the universal 2000 damage.

I volunteer myself - I can create a new char and u can blow the crap outta him - It will show you the damage for a PvP battle generically, but im afraid a CL 1 char maynot have the resistances you wish to experiment with.
On the same note - the MSE droid did the same damage to a lvl 26 as a lvl 76... soo maybe it dont matter.
let me know - i have no char on starsider and dont mind creating a crash-test dummy.

After running some tests, I ve calculated that for each pound of explosive, it will do about 25 -26 damage. That is without armor
WITH armor, each pound will only do about 16 points of damage.
So lets do the math;
Bomb droids maxed out with 60 lbs of explosives will do about 1500 points of damage against a person, that is unarmored....
That same bomb will only do about 950-1000 against an amored Foe.
