Thread: Some ideas for slicing and general smuggler things Revamp

Some of these are probably mentioned before.


When you slice a terminal.-----


You start out with a knife

(only knife you use no charges, maybe you can purchase a sharpening tool from a asrtistan)

you go to slice a terminal. it tells you what wires to cut like before. You can choose a modular clamp or a guess

(no flow analyser node because why would someone one i dont feel you need it, why would a tool only have a possible chance of HIGH flow/?)

(mod clamps are now makable the same way nodes were)

Okay so you open up the terminal and asks you what to do.


You can choose to shunt the cables with the node like before or you can guess.


If you shunt with the mod clamp, you get the 100%. Once you are done you can remove the clamp and place it back in the inventory

(why wouldnt you be able to use a clamp anymore? kinda like a power tester thing they use to see if power is flowing threw wires in rl, you clamp it on metal and touch the metal point against the wires or circuit to see if power is going threw and if it is the screwdriver looking too lights up.)


That is all for the slicing terminals part... It doesn't hurt anybody to make it flawless like that... or at least it shouldn't



For Slicing weapons and armor----


You need an armor upgrade kit or weapon one.

You need some kind of tool for messing with the gun? maybe it comes with the kit since it is a kit after all.

(the kit could still be a one time use thing)

I liked the concept idea from before how there is a quality depending on if you choose the right options for the events that happen.

Like if the gun starts heating up, you can use a tool in the kit to release power, you can ignore it or give more power. Releasing the power being a 100% success ignoring being 50% and more power being like a uh 35% or lower maybe 50% for that too.


Also, you can do it in the trade window or a special window where the person can watch what your doing and they can whine about how you jiped them and such.


For Underworld!


I myself think that this would be an awsome thing to do but will most likely never EVER happen

Take out language comprehension and only have it for smugglers

UNLESS like in everquest, the person has to keep speaking it over and over and they learn a little at a time where you can catch some words.

Maybe the possiblity of holocrons that can teach basic speach of different languages.

(all in all, make that to were that skill for smuggler actually means something, maybe like if you learn from a holocron, you can only see the words in /tells and /groups?)


Feign death and combat related


I don't know if this has ever been brought up other than by me or if it is even possible.

restrict jedi bh and smugglers professions to intermix. all it does now is get us smugglers nerfed and nerfed and nerfed. If a jedi or bh couldn't use our skills, the could probably un nerf us. taht would probably restore smugglers from being the laughing stock of SWG.


Spices

I would like to stick to the idea that you obtain spices threw smuggler missions. you get say 100 neutron pixies for doing the regular and 1k for doing the critical. but you can only get max 1k on regular if you steal it and max 10k on critical if you steal it, with the added chance of being hunted until you pay off a fee to the guy you got the job from. (this is if you do it too much)


If i can think of any more i will add them. So what do you all think about these?
