Once Ibuy my way to having both positive Rebel and positive Imperial faction, could I switch factions on the ground without giving up my Rebel pilot status in space?

being neutral is honestly the best way to play off both sides really well. You lose the faction point sales, but that wasn't a big deal to me anyway. But its quite nice to head to a recruter pay 20k, work for their faction a bit to aquire what i need. then promply resign.

I rather dislike the stigma that you Have to be factioned. Well on my server at least.

WRONG! Switch sides on the ground and you lose your pilot exp in the old faction. IE...you are rebel pilot and rebel on the ground...go imp on the ground..guess what you are no longer a rebel pilot. I have seen people lose the boxes in pilot so yes your ground faction does affect it. Best to either be neutral on the ground..if you plan on switching back and forth.
