You could always temporarily join a faction, go special forces, and sell fp...

But at the conversion rate given to a private, a colonel sitting in front of a capitol building would have a better money/time/fp redistribution ratio than a smuggler.

Yeah. It is a lousy system, all right. Just another way the game keeps people from slipping through the cracks and filling roles that aren't pre-defined.

If I were in charge, I'd suggest that faction rank be based on faction points. eg, at 60k fp you have the effective rank of colonel--No fp caps at all.

That way, people could actually play both sides... Given an investment... For faction rewards, I'd blatantly rip off the loyalty point system in EVE, since borrowing ideas from other MMORPGs is in style these days.

Personally, the idea of faciton points is flawed, imo.

Faction points? What the hell are they? What the concept of fp allude to is military reputation and ameans of obtainingmilitary hardware, both of which sould be things your average Smuggler should be able to get his dirty little hands on with relative ease.

"You want to gain the perks of being a war hero without doing any fighting? Here, I know a guy who 'found' a stash ofImperial war medals...you can have them, for a price"

"Your Rebel base needs Imperial turret technology? Hmm, let me see. I might be able to locate you some old Clone War artillery, actually...a little dated, but in perfect working order...let me make a call..."

That's the way it should be.

I'm still dead keen on tweaking the Jawa Smuggler POI a place where Smugglers can obtain special artifacts, art and military equipment.

That's what we should be - people who can obtian the things that are banned, immoral, obsolete and downright hazardous.

Does anyone have a good answer as to why a neutral smuggler cant sell fp? I dont roleplay but in my opinion s neutral smuggler should be able to play both sides. We are capped at 1k fp anyway. How much dmg could we do? I dont get into the GCW. But I do switch back and forth between factions if it suits my needs (loot, badges, quest rewards). Why not add the ability to sell fp to either side? Any opinions?

Yeah, you may 'pwn' at PVP. Dont let it go to your head. It ain't real. you probably had a lot of milk money beaten out of you in the past.
