It was the Floating Shrub, and well do I remember its magnificience as it stood against the mongrel hordes that worshipped the Force Sensitive Sheep.

Ahh, it warms my heart to see more old scoundrels who were around during the glorious time of the Holy Shrub. May The Shrub be with you all.

During beta, when the Devs were still ironing out some of the more basic glitches in the game, there was a shrub located on the outskirts of Bestine that floated in the air. This was one little bug that people came to rally around, and it became known as The Holy Shrub. Those of us on the beta boards were a little wacky, and created a religion around The Shrub. It was a sad time when the wrath of the Devs took our shrub from us (and it took a long time for them to do it, who knew it would be a foretelling of how things would be from then on?), but some of our most holy Shrubbers prophesied that The Shrub would someday return, and lead us to salvation.

Yeah, it was kinda silly. Still is, really. But it was just one of the things that made the beta experience a little more fun.

I think I saw that shrub in orbit around Tatooine shortly after JTL release. Had I known it's signifigance I would have stopped to worship

i do well remember the shrub.

we on Ahazi also worshipped the Maraj Melon. in fact, we had an entire guild - ASBESTOS - that was dedicated to Melon Worship, under the guiding hand of Pejasto, their fearless bothan Storytelling leader.

i miss those days.

The best times I had in this game were during beta and up to about 4 months after launch.

And it wasn't the Holy Shrub, just the floating shrub. That's why they were the FS and the FSS.

It was referred to as the Holy Shrub by many of us on the forums.

Funny, if the devs removed it, why did I run into it about 6 months after launch? I've even got a pic around here somewhere of it...
