I recently finished the Pistol tree in marksman and have novice brawler. Should i get novice pistoleer and work my way to master or should i begin the unarmed tree and get novice smuggler?

Pick up smuggler but dont do the dirty fighting untill you mater pistoleer, since pistoleer gives you all the stat bonuses, and dirty fighting is only good for feign death.

Definately get Master Pistoleerbefore you try to Master Smugglerif you plan on doing both. Decreases total grind time immensely.
As far as whether or not you want to get novice smuggler now??? Well personal choice, but having that smuggler title in there sure feels good. Plus it will give you something else to grind besides pistol xp, which to me is rather dull and boring.

Get pistoleer up to FanShot. Then get buffed, go to the Sennex cave on Tatooine and let rip. You should have master pistoleer and all the smuggler xp required inside of a week at most.

hhhhhhmmmmm well i am another newb, i just went straight for unarmed after pistoles because as far as i figured it would be kinda dificult to grind pistoles at any speed and i figured smugglers don't get negative effects from the druggs they make so why not just get novice and use the druggs to help you get to pistoleer.... was i wrong? would this not work?
and i heard that slicing and spiceing can be done in a day (iff your rich enough to buy everything you need right off the bat or stock up before you begin) is this true?

Grinding pistols is easy. I did it with no armor by kiting poor leviasquall on Roriin circles bleeding them. They give less exp than when I did it a year ago and the spawn isn't as heavy as it used to be but it's still an easy grind.

Not sure where you heard this, but unless this changed very recently, it is not true.

If your Rich enough and have the correct equipment you can grind out Slicing in a day. And if your rich enough and have a good macro you can grind out spices in a day... I grinded out spices in 2 days way back when... but that was before i knew the magic ofa good crafting macro... boy was i sick of clicking after that.... maybe things have changed this was a year ago.

Get Pistoleer, just two pistol marksmenship 2 (Low Blow, and LDA will hit more often then they miss that way) then get smuggler, and you can get to master pretty fast provided you can find all the materials you need to grind the slicing tree.

I grinded out spices in a few hours with a macro. I still had some clicking to do but it was way easier than the conventional way. I think I grinded shadowpaw with about 6 crafting tools and a macro all hotkeyed. Was a cinch.
Slicing I tried to do the "Will slice your containers for free" bit up through slicing II. Then the agony of the bugged tradewindows sucked my will to live. So I broke down and bought crates of surival knives to slice. This was POST no autopull so I hotkeyed the crates for the grind....also a good idea in general.
Pistols is a cinch with Master Pistols in Squill cave on Tatooine or really any heavy spawn cave.

Thanks alot for the suggestions. Wait, so do the withdrawl symptoms of spices effect the creator? Also, can someone post a crafting macro and/or slicing macro.
Smuglers are no different when it comes to downers as any other player. your best bet is to get your hands on some awesome Smugglers Delight. It's a Chef made food that reduces downer times
