Thread: How good is FEIGN DEATH in pvp when u first get the skill?

Im looking to get feign death to help me avoid BH while im grinding padawan but I got some questions first. Does it work everytime. Whats the point of going up the tree to get those extra feign death points. Well anything helps, tell me what you guys thing. THANKS!!

the higher you go, the faster it works
it's been so long since I was novice, I can't remember how long it used to take, but at master ifI hitfeign deathI never get killed before it works.
however, when you're playing dead, you can still be targetted, and every attack will 1. cause wounds, 2. cause BF, 3 damage your armor. so some people grief smugglers by beating their bars black and continuing to beat them, just because they think it's funny...

You can stay feigned indefinately until you type /stand. although people say posture up can pull you out of feign i've never had it happen to me nor seen it happen to other smugglers.... my take is that this is just an ugly little urban myth.

Yeah, and it will piss off the BH's, and they'll cry till nerfage....
You won't really see a BIG dfference, just sometimes you'll fail and have to click FG again.

Well, you can still take dmg while doing feign death. They can take you down to no health/action/mind but they can't dealth blow you while you're doing feign death. (not sure if you knew this or not)
They might just sit there and wait til you come out of it, which might result in a lot of wasted time. Personally I'd rather put the points into another combat skill (no offense to smugglers) so you could fight off a BH vs using this profession to avoid a death while grinding padawan.

Back in the day...yadda, yadda. It helped while doing Picket missions unbuffed, back when bleeds really worked...I gound out all my smuggler pistol xp on Dant unbuffed...and Feigned a bit...

I don't hardly use it with my Triple Master, but when I was starting my new character on Eclipse, I was fighting an NPC just the night before while on Jabba's themepark and was about to die. My finger moved automatically to the key FD is usually mapped to before I remembered I didn't have it. My first "new character" death.
