Thread: When will i be able to smuggle for jabba?
Maybe if we ask real nicely they can make the crimelords of the game act like smuggler terminals after you do the quests?Heck, at this point I'd be happy just to get some smuggling missions. Maybe we could get the mission from a terminal, then get sent to a crimelord for the details.
Na, you're right. I'd be more fun to get the missions from the crimelords themselves. Borvo, Nym, Jabba, Lady Valarian, etc.

Hey, a tiny bit of hope is all I have left. It's the only thing keeping me from losing it and going BH or Jedi like everybody else. Just do what I do... play for a few months till you get pissed about it being Jedi, BH, Jedi, BH, Jedi, BH, quit for 6 months, then come back. Stick everything you own in one house or the bank, sell everything else off, and stick enough maintenance in that house to last a year.
It will all be there when and IF you decide to come back. Until SOE decides that subscription numbers are dropping too far, they aren't going to change. No amount of crying and complaining will ever change that, unless you are a Jedi or BH swine.

One of the main reasons for using a terminal is to actually get missions SOON. IMO. The terminals are there, the missions are already somewhat smuggleresq and that would make it EASIER for the devs. Plus the missions would be from the NPC but you just wouldn't be speaking to them. Great idea though. It should take about 6 years to get your idea through to the devs /ROFL
That was my thought exactly, slice into a piggy back signal on a mission termial, and get a waypoint to a spawn. But yes i also believe we should get missions from NPC'S ALSO, bartenders, and crimelords. i dont want the novice smugglers to be able to jsut walk in to jabbas and get a mission just like a master smuggler. underworld street cred should be needed, jsut like faction, but only BH AND SMUGGLERS should be able to get it. compleete a mission get a set amount of points, walk up to a bartender and bet your street cred and get a risky mission, compleete it and get more cred fail and loose what you have bet.
using NPC's other than those in cantina's or themeparks would be unrealistic, like getting them from spynet opps, lol athorities would arrest those people on sight. codded signals, would be hard to pick up on a galaxy wide network, even if you know what your looking for, its a nedle in a haystack. unless you had a way of filtering out what you dont want, slicing the terminals would do that.
btw SOON is trademarked by somebody already
I just think a mission terminal is kinda a lazy way of showing they don't care... It just signifies laziness. And besides, smugglers should be hired. They shouldn't just take any old person off the street that they don't trust, or anyone with a smuggler.com account. That's why NCP's are better, because its more like a real job. They tell you when they need something done, and you do it. You don't have it done at your leisure. And smuggling shouldn't be with random stuff at random places all the time... There should be some key "routes" for different people. That's why the pilot trainer method would work better. If you have a choice from:
Ship spice(no mention what kind)from <insert small city here> to <insert medium city here>
Shipcomponents(no mention what kind)from <insertlarge city here> to <insertsmall city here>
Shipunknown packagefrom <insertmedium city here> to <insertlarge city here>
They would be sorta like duty missions, where they would spawn at the same places, so you get to know your route... In a way, its like the Kessel Run...

Did you see the compilation of dev posts that someone posted in that thread?
After 2+ years, do you honestly think you'll ever see what you just asked for in game?
Do you really believe that "niceness" is going to get you anywhere?
At this point I doubt even sending hookers to their offices would do anything. hehe.
I find your lack of faith in hookers disturbing...
1. Neutrals already have a mission for Jabba. The Clone Relics Clone Armour quest so YES it is very viable to get missions from Jabba and others.
2. Mission terminals are close, in public view, etc. But how hard is it to travel to Tat by ship, launch, land, and choose Jabba's Palace for example? Or for Borvo, Travel to Moenia, walk out, look there's the cantina.
I support the idea of getting our missions from NPCs over terminals, for what it's worth.
