Thread: Help a Struggling Smuggler

Hey, I'm new to the Smuggler prof, (doing it for fun, NOT for holo) and I'm having a hard time coming across locked containers, and I want to avoid if possible, standing on the street and spamming for them, and looting them is pretty rare. Anyone know where I can get them in large quantities, on the Kauri server?

Get lucky....
Post on the trade forums, somebody might get nice and give free ones away.
You might have to resort to starport spamming, too.

Talk to some Master Smugglers on your server. Ask them to send people with containers to slice to you if you're in the neighborhood.

Also, hang around where people are grinding on NPC mobs, like Fort Tusken or some of teh static city thug spawns. If they are looting, chances are they are getting quite a few containers. ask them

I am master and don't need 'em anymore, but I still collect locked containers just in case i ever drop smuggler and decide to come back. I don't go hunting NPC spawns, but lots of times when I'm playing my normal game I come across them and hop off my bike and quickly take them out. Last night I probably killed a total of 40 NPCs and got THREE locked containers. Now that was probably pure good luck, but the point is that NPCs do drop a lot of them sometimes. Don't give up.. keep trying.

damn...you're about 3 days late...I just hooked a novice smuggler up with someone who asked me to open 40 containers for them. I always refuse to open containers and try to find them a novice and make the connection. One question...do you use molecular clamps??? It's really hard to convince someone to let you open their containers if you don't. What's your in game name and I'll start trying to hook you up. By the way that wasn't the 1st time someone has asked me to open that many containers...its actually happened 3 times since I've become master. The only down side is I am contemplating dropping smuggler so I can toughen up a bit. Master smuggler/chef doesn't solo much...LOL
