Thread: New JtL Video Trailer

Some nice new concept art and screen shots there too. Note the presence of two people in the YT-1300's cockpit.. could that mean we'll have NPC co-pilots, or could it be - two players in the same ship?!
One can only hope.
I notice that too. If you can have two or more players (driving, shooting, etc), that would be awesome.

As for the "how many people in a freighter question":
At this time, the YT-1300 (Falcon) is the only PLAYABLE ship larger than a Starfighter. It takes a master Shipwright to craft.
YES! A player can fly the Falcon, while his buddies man the turrets, just like in the movie.
Everybody in your group will enter the ship when you access a starship terminal in the Starport.
Everything you can do in houses, in the way of furniture and decoration, can be done in ships.
- Basic Pilot (neutral pilot)
- Alliance Pilot (Rebel)
- Imperial Pilot (Imperial)
- Shipwright
Yes! Just like sliced weapons, illegal modified ships are contraband. One can only assume the Empire will attack you if they discover the illegal modifications you've made.
Droids are very important to your ship. They are how you interact with your ship. In fact, the space UI includes a droid tab to give your droid commands.

Anyone else notice how the trailer shows a TON of GCW related combat, but yet the jedi revamp is more important than the GCW (which is the whole premise behind the game). If you want a jedi go play KoTR.
/rantoff Anyway, I truly hope the YT1300 isn't the only freighter. Or maybe they are just putting all the others into the "starfighter" class. Personally, I'd like to have a mod'd Skipray Blastboat.

Well I like it so far but I dont like the idea of people being able to go threw eachother , I know some people would go after overts just by running into them without a TEF , but it would be good times .
Perhaps if you bump into someone ou get a TEF aginst the other player ? lol that would be sweet .

That would just flip reverse the problem - any overt wanting a fight could simply collide into the covert and then take them out.
yes there will be more than just the yt-1300, also the yt-2400, don't know if it will be in the release, but the story on IGN network said that the 2400 will be in. So it looks like we will have many ships to chose from. I for one am very excited about the new release, and look forward to the smuggler revamp. Hopefully some good stuff in there as well. I must also say that watching the trailer, really gave me a great StarWars feel. Having seen the original movies, at age 7(yea it was a long time ago) 20 some odd years later, Im still a big StarWars nut. I really hope everything lives up to my expectations.
You wouldn't happen to have anything that would validate this for me, would you?
