Thread: Ithorian armour slicing

There seems to be a problem with slicing Ithorian armour, namely that it doesn’t work. I’ve been trying to get my hands on some, but can’t seem to find any. If you’ve tried to slice Ithorian armour, please let me know about it, including whether it worked or not and if not, how the problem manifested itself.
Also, for those of you that took part in the JtL beta and did any slicing, on the off chance that you did and that you remember, when you sliced Ithorian Guardian armour, was the Kinetic Special Protection increased?

Just picked up a pair of defender boots on my server to test slicing. Everything worked ok, got a nice 38% encumberance slice and the stats reflected the slice.
Edit: Just done a pair of gloves for a effectivness slice and that works ok too..

i played a ith on test center and made a whole set of defender armor. i sliced all of the set plus a extra chest and helmet.i didn't notice anything wrong with slicing it. i can't remeber what type of slices i got on it but i am sure it was the normal half enc and half eff. nothing stands out in my head about it not working.

hmm cant they put that back a year and concentrate on the other issues which are far more pressing..

I was under the impression that when we slice armor, we only slice the base stats, and not the special layer protections.

I was under the impression that when we slice armor, we only slice the base stats, and not the special layer protections.
We do, but it might be that armor with this kind of special protection isn't sliceable..

I just Sliced 4 pcs of Ithorian Defender armor no special components used. 10-28-04 at 5:45 PM PST
This was done on Valcyn by Rykk
Helmet 30% encumberance.
Chest 21% effectiveness.
Leggings 22% encumberance.
Boots 40% encumberance.
Just a not, with most of my slicing I see more encumberance slices like 2/1 and effectiveness are almost allwaysaround 21%. Would love to be able to focus the slice at master towards one or the other or even to improve Special Protection or Condition.

Thanks to everyone that posted their findings, it seems this isa none issue. Managed to get ahold ofsome pieces myself last night and they sliced fine too.
