Hello!

I’m fairly new to the slicing profession (thanks to the respec!) and I’ve just started playing around with slicing. I’ve done a lot of research on slicing, but I still have a question, as well as an apparent bug that I’m wondering if others have encountered.

First off, I’m slicing a lot of weapons for a Master Bounty Hunter. I understand that the critical slice is only useful for BH, with this in mind, is it generally recommended to go full critical slice for BH’s? Or full damage? Or mix them? Perhaps a Damage lvl 2 and a Crit lvl 2? Any thoughts and recommendations are GREATLY appreciated.

Second, last night I sliced a Hi-Cap Scatter pistol. It’s damage before slicing was 357-903, well below the cap which I’ve read as being 948. After applying a 2% damage slice, the damage became 364-916. That’s a 2% increase to the low end, but only a 1% increase to the upper end. It should have gone to 364-921. Is the cap wrong? Is this a bug? What would happen if I sliced for damage again? Has anyone else encountered this? (I sliced 4 other weapons and all of them got the correct 2% increase, only this one came out wrong).

This second issue makes me wonder… what if I have a gun whose damage currently is 900, but it’s cap is 910. If I apply a 2% damage slice (which would bring it to 918) does it go to damage 910 and stop, wasting the extra increase? Or will I be told that it can’t be sliced at all?
