Tiggs, we've been diggin you for a while, JFreeman - we love your visits, and GM - we'll that last time you came things weren't great news - you need to redeem yourself.

My point:

What is your ultimate vision for this profession? Are we destined for some Smuggling? or should we be renamed to Slicer?

There are so many questions that we all have and all we can do is guess. And guessing only leades to being bitter about that which you do not know.

So please, take 5 minutes away from (what I hope is) developing our smuggler content, and let us know what SOE and Lucas Arts has in mind forthe second mostpopular Star Wars Character's profession, SMUGGLER.

Yeah, throw us a frikkin' bone here!

You told us at Fan Fest that the Smuggling part of our Revamp was basically done, and that all that was left was NPC text needed to be written. If that's the case, why don't you give us a basic outline of how that system is supposed to work? We know that things change, but give a starving man a cracker (and kool-aid) here!

Well for starters there is a problem with the title of the thread, "For the love of all that is holy...", that would be the Jedi. We are the unholy or anti-holy if you will. Besides whatever they have in mind is just a moot point anyway when they will just come out and implement something entirely different at the last minute, i.e. the new slicing system.

You know, they'll post their ideas, get us to give input, changes the concepts around to better work with the players ideas, leave it out there for oh about six months for us to discuss and get excited aboutleading us to believe that it will be coming, actually make various statements along the way refrencing the changes and then........ BAM! they hit us with something completely different that sucks.

I don't know, I'd almost rather just to stay in the dark and not know whats coming. Then at least I won't get my hopes up just to be crushed later.

I just want to know if it came and there is no more. I'm really starting to get that feeling, the slicing fiasco was the "revamp", and now onto other parts of the game that need work, like Jedi and BH.

Maybe they're fixing ranger, giving entertainers more useful skills, and making squad leaders more effective at leading groups. *cough* Or they're working on the new FRS which will involve missions to transfer goods and persons across enemy lines in a PvP enabled enviroment. One of the two. But I'm sure it's the first one.

I'm not looking for specific details here.

I just want to know what they believe our profession should do. Are we Slicers? Spice pushers? Loot campers?Crowd control experts? Or maybe even... Smugglers?

I want to know what their ultimate ideal for us is. I want to know their thoughts and drea... ok too far.

I just want to know what a smuggler is to the Dev Team, SOE and Lucas Arts (cause I'm sure that each body sees it differently).

you know I was thinking, our profession IS crowd control, and ....the areas that drop the slicing loot, there is a crowd of loot campers, perhaps...we are INDEED crowd control
